As a suggestion, I would set your goal as 10% of your body weight at a time, rather than so large a figure. It sets a much more easily achieved goal, and you can break it down into a series of steps, instead of such a large one.
Yes, I understand that that approach is favored by many weight loss experts, and it is also something emphasized in programs like Weight Watchers. (Which I have taken part in, multiple times actually.)
I don't view myself as being on a "weight loss program" per se. The wisest stance I have yet seen on the topic is that which emphasizes lifestyle change over numbers.
My goal here, though it is externalized onto this blog as weight loss, is in fact what I would term "life control". To eat healthy (eventually to become a vegetarian) and exercise, not just for a time or to a point on the scale.
My goal is generally not even at the 10% body weight point - it is waking up THAT day and eating in a healthy way until I go to sleep. Day by day.
