The past two or three months, I’ve been shopping (online and locally) for a horse. I realized that if I cut a couple of non-essentials from my monthly spending, I would be able to afford boarding and the other expenses that will come along with owning a horse. I’ve narrowed down my boarding options to 2 farms, both of which are reasonably priced ( Read more... )

D'oh! Meant to tell you that yes, it's great if you come ride with me. I do lessons on Monday nights but I've been....umm....blowing them off the last two weeks because I'm a dork. I'll be going this coming Monday, the 17th, if you would like to come with me!

That would rock! Karin mentioned that she thought Bonnie might also have horses for lease, so it would be nice to meet her and talk about that option.

What time do you leave for your lesson? I will keep Monday evening free!

Yes, Bonnie usually has horses for lease. It's a bit of a trek out there - exactly 1/2 hour from my house - but there's both an outdoor and an indoor heated arena!

I usually leave about 7pm for my lesson but we could leave a little early if you'd like to go and get acquainted with the place. Lemme know!

Going a bit early would be cool... That would leave me some time to meet Bonnie, look around, etc. before you start your lesson. I'm out of work at 5:00 so anytime after that is fine with me!

What does she charge for lessons? I really want to start taking some to refresh my memory!

Lessons are $30 for an hour lesson. If you want to ride on Monday in my lesson I'll give her a call and see if there's room. Lemme know!

Can she mix up different levels in one lesson? I'm probably not where you are when it comes to riding since it's been so long...

If so, I'd be happy take a "trial" lesson and see how it goes! :)

Yes, most of the classes are mixed! I'll give her a call this weekend so she knows to expect you.
