Ahah - no. This wasn't a Regia event. It was being run by the Wychwood Warriors, the Oxford University Reenactment Society. They were the group I first joined, who started my slight obsession with Reenactment.
glad everyone was welcoming (not that they wouldn't be) - after all, we all share a common nutty hobby. wish i could have gone, but never mind - instead i feel like i could set the animal testing debate to rights :P
I'm so glad you had a good time! I enjoyed it massively and am already looking forward to next year. This year's crew seem to be particularly fine don't they? Disrespectful and good at singing :) the snow was awesome.
BTW there was something I meant to ask you but I'll email you offlist (sorry to be cryptic, it's nothing awful!)
Bags of charcoal. They're my new secret weapon, and worked wonderfully to make my hut warm. So much easier to light than a fire, so much easier to prepare (no wood chopping!)
Except for the whole "this-is-heavy" aspect, which thankfully the car deals with.
Anyway, twas ace to see you, and glad you didn't feel too out of place surrounded by New Wychwood (New Danger!)

I think I know some people who were (are?) in that.
I must get over to the Museum, as I haven't been since I was at primary school - I did vaguely remember that there was a 'viking village' though ;)
