I can see what she means about your work, but I don't see it as a reflection of your character, nor do I think it makes your work bad. I think you have pieces that come from a vulnerable and needy place inside of you. I don't believe you are emotionally parasitic. When it comes to our relationship, for example, you're very big into give and take. I listen to you and you listen to me; in our case, I just happen to not always be quite as open with my feelings as you are, which maybe stems from me not feeling quite as well-spoken as you are. None of this makes you a bad person and as you said, you are a good listener. Also: She seems so matter of fact about everything. This is the problem, this is the medicine, that is the way people work. If everything was that simple, the world would be different, wouldn't it? Not everyone is the same, as cheesy as that is, and there is never a cut and dry answer to everything, and it certainly wouldn't be the same for every situation, which sort of makes you have to question her own perception of

The more I have thought about this the better I feel. I think she has read my weakness, my insecurity, and my need to be cared about, as manipulative and narcissistic. I don't think she is right about that. I also think that her problem with my work is a difference of taste.
When I have some time, I might do an entire entry about it.
