I'm sorry for not giving your novel the time I had promised, but I can say that I have read it, and that I know without a doubt you are a writer. From the first time we met and you began showing me things, I've seen a growth that only occurs in people who really care about the craft. And I have to say, don't be too hard on yourself for updating your lj. I've noticed that I have a hard time writing entries, and I feel like you really need to be sure of your own voice before you can write someone else's, if that makes sense. Journal entries keep you in touch with that voice.
Also I agree. I watch British Sitcoms on the public access channel here, and they're much more relatable and realistic than regular American ones. In my psychology class, it was mentioned that America and Australia (I think) are the only two countries that show prescription commercials, which I think are the bane of humanity.
