The Netherlands are indeed expensive, as everyone we met there told us. But the flip side of that is that you are pretty much taken care of from the cradle to the grave.

Yes, I'm hoping it won't be too complicated to get into the system as a self-employed person. I'm happy to pay in at that high rate IF I'm gonna get all those benefits.
