Yes, it definately is amazing! Personally I prefer the outback, nothing like having a two lane highway that goes from the top to the bottom of the country! (Darwin to Adelaide!) And it never gets too cold here :) And even though the land mass size is similar to the US, the entire population is less than what lives in Texas! How cool is that?! (and yes, I live in Australia)

Sure would be the place to go if you don't care for urban congestion! Hopefully someday I'll be fortunate enough to get to visit your lovely country. :)

You can still find urban congestion if you go to one of the capital cities... Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, not so much Hobart or Canberra or Darwin :) The closest town to me has 2 traffic lights and 3 round abouts! Where do you live?

Two traffic lights sounds absolutely peaceful! I live in a southern suburb of Chicago, Illinois...population somewhere around 20,000. I've lived here for nearly 25 years and it's become so built-up and congested with traffic since I moved here, it boggles the mind. It used to be semi-rural, now it's fully suburban. My son lives in a small town like yours - only a few traffic lights - but it's building up by him, too. At least there are farms near him!
