Hello, friendly author! oneworldaway from AO3 here! (And toshikosatos on Tumblr, fwiw.) Know that I automatically think you are awesome for being into this thing I am into and choosing to write about it. Also know that I'm signing up at the very last minute and am definitely not sure if I'm doing this right. It's...an adventure...?
Some general points that apply when it comes to all of my fandoms:
Sonya - I'm still pressed we never got any Sonya backstory in canon, so BACKSTORY WOULD BE AWESOME. I have my own idea for a fic sometime, but I'd love to read yours too! Doesn't even have to be backstory, though. I'd be happy with any Sonya fic. Something taking place during the show, post-series, Sonya/Birkhoff, Sonya and Alex being friends, Sonya and Nikita becoming friends, any of that, really! (I recently posted a super fluffy post-series Birkhoff/Sonya fic. There may have been babies involved. I couldn't help myself.)
The Sarah Jane Adventures
Rani Chandra - Basically open to anything! Rani and Clyde are one of my ultimate OTPs, but it doesn't have to be about them. I've always thought they'd both get along with Martha Jones swimmingly, so if you made that happen, you'd be awesome in my book. I actually once wrote an AU where I had them date. I could go for something along those lines too, honestly. Rani/Maria would also work. And, you know, Rani/being on the TARDIS and exploring the universe. I am VERY VERY GAME FOR THAT. Clyde can come too.
Maria Jackson - Again, go crazy! Though I'm not really into shipping her with Luke, Clyde, or Sarah Jane. Rani would be fine, though.
Sky Smith - Yeah, basically whatever. The options are pretty endless here.
Warehouse 13
I selected "any" and am basically down for whatever. I'll only say that if you're writing about Leena, I'm not necessarily into shipping her with Claudia but could perhaps be persuaded, and either backstory or something to help me process what happened to her would be fine.
Veronica Mars
Meg Manning - Basically anything would be cool. As far as shipping goes, I rather like her with Veronica.
Lizzie Manning - I'd be interested to read about what she does in the wake of what happens to Meg, especially with regards to their youngest sister, Grace.
Mac Mackenzie - Just please don't pair her with anyone whose last name is Casablancas. I'd prefer her with Veronica or, like, anyone else. (Err, okay, not anyone. Not Logan.) Maybe something to do with her bonding with her biological mother and sister?
Dollhouse
Whiskey - Claire was basically my favourite character on the show, but I'd be down for an exploration of any or all of Whiskey's personalities - her original self, Whiskey, Saunders, and/or post-Thoughtpocalypse Whiskey.
Bennett Halverson - I ship her with both Topher and Caroline. Up for whatever!
Lost Girl
Kenzi - (Rare? Seriously?) Season 4 finale fix-its, please. Bring on the fix-its. I ship her with Hale hard, for the record. And she and Bo are my bff otp, so that angle would also be fine. Please no romantic Bo/Kenzi, though. (But friendly cuddling/kissing is allowed.) Really not into romantic Dyson/Kenzi either, so keep them platonic, please. Alternately, backstory would be cool! I'd be down for pretty much whatever, actually, but you'll understand why a fix-it was my first thought at a time like this. Backstory would be awesome though.
Tamsin - I'm not a big Valkubus shipper, but I could be persuaded. I'm loving her new dynamic with Kenzi. Go nuts, I guess?
Ciara O'Breen - Yeah, she deserved better. Rock on for offering her! Write anything!
The Morrigan - Surprise me, man.
Well, that about covers it! I look forward to reading whatever comes my way, and I'll do my best to write something kickass in return!
Some general points that apply when it comes to all of my fandoms:
- I don't do sadness, honestly. I'm big on fluff and my ships living happily ever after, and not so big on downer endings or character deaths. I know, I'm vanilla as heck. You don't have to write me full-on fluff, though! I can deal with rough backstories and a bit of angst, and more so when it comes to characters who are, you know, already dead in canon. I can deal with it more in that case because I'm already processing what happened there, I guess. But generally, yes, I do prefer happy endings.
- Smut is fine! Again, I'm pretty vanilla, though, so I don't really read much kinky stuff.
- Of course, that doesn't mean I'm demanding smut. I just figured I'd mention that I'm okay with adult content. I'm not even demanding shippy stuff, necessarily. Gen fic is fine! I love my fictional friendships, too. And, you know, just stuff focused primarily on one character. It's all good!
- I'm not really big on AU. Unless you have a really cute idea for an AU that just totally works for a given character and you're feeling inspired, in which case, I'll gladly make an exception, as I do from time to time!
