This year my Christmas memories have been really clear - I so miss Mum & Dad, even though it's been many years now.

Well, I thought my Aunts were odd, but they were never like that! We all belong to different Churches, but just accept that some people kneel to pray - some people stand! Oh well, family!!! Actually over Christmas it used to be the immediate family, plus Grandma & Granddad when we were younger, so we had games - dominoes was popular ... as were charades.

Happy Christmas

One uncle belonged to her church. They do not have any musical instruments in their services. I being the smart mouth I am asked why. He said that Jesus didn't have any musical instruments when he had services. My reply was "Well he didn't have pews for you to sit in either.". My mom busted out laughing.

You ca "tell" your uncle he was wrong - Jesus quoted from the book of Psalms, and in front of many of the Psalms are details as to what music to provide. And, you are right - pews are a "modern" invention (well, the 1500's or thereabouts)

Yup. Not everyone gets along when you spend time together for a longer time like Christmas. *sigh* I miss these times, they weren't all bad.

Have a Merry Christmas - and stay safe!

We had some great times, but there were moments you had to bite your tongue.

Merry Christmas to you as well.
