Asia <3 Jpop?
I guess it's no secret that Japanese pop culture has a foot planted firmly on the continent, but I found this video interesting. It references a Japanese movie that was really popular called Love Letter (it's the film the two are watching when they start kissing) which is about a girl whose boyfriend died in the snow in a hiking accident and she starts writing him letters. She looks up his address from his yearbook, but she accidentally gets the wrong one because there was a girl in his class with his same name. The girl who receives the letters writes back so for awhile, the first girl thinks her dead boyfriend is responding to her or something. What's interesting about this music video is that it has the same theme of communicating with a dead lover, but they use cellphones instead. Technology ftw?
