So, I realized when I was at the Museum of Fine Arts in New York that all the Renaissance paintings really looked similar. Like, all of the different artists, they all drew and painted alike. They used the same techniques and stuff. Unless you really know the art, you can't tell that there's much of a difference between any of it. Same themes get ( Read more... )

Prettymuch the entire Rococo period was the same dining room painted over and over again.

I admit it is a fierce dining room. I'd eat the hell out of some tiny sandwiches and tea in that dining room.

No no, it's not that black people look the same, the problem is that whitey's eyes are fucked up.

Oh, wow. Now that I've looked at the other comments, I feel really out of place.

Look at this cracker taking things all seriously and academic-like.

I'll be over there... reading about Hakuin.

Dahahahaa, no don't worry. Your response was awesome. <3 It is always nice to hear someone agree with me while bringing up other salient points. character_notes was over my house while I was writing this and started making fun of me so it turned into that umm... very interesting conversation... To be honest, I feel that it is very much representative of the kinds of friends that I have that there should be responses like yours right next to that ridiculous conversation. My other friends might have responded more seriously if I hadn't had this conversation with them fifty million times offline.

Also, yes, it's the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I am bad with names. Have you been there recently? I like the way they've set up their exhibits. Except for the modern art. I felt like they just kind of crammed all these different art pieces next to each other without really thinking much about what they were doing.

And yeah, everyone has a dick to wave around. It's a genderless dick. Maybe other women call it something else.

I can appreciate a genderless dick. Not in my bum. But in my theory. Definitely not in my bum ( ... )

I agree with this! Uh...I don't really have anything else to add, though?

I always find it a bit daunting when looking into a new subculture just how sophisticated an appreciation the people who are very into it develop. But then I'm the same way about things I'm very into, because it just sort of happens.
