So chatting with Twinny this evening got me all nostalgic. We talked about Nancy Drew. I liked the classic ones, the ones in the bright yellow hardcovers. I mean the newer paperbacks were fun too, but the "college years" were a disaster of epic proportions ( Read more... )

Yes, yes! The chloroform! Sadly enough, I could never get into the old-school Nancy Drews...I was a big fan of the new ones in, gosh, second grade or so? hee!

I missed the movie! Saw the TV series - It always made me Mad than Nancy's hair was so dark in the series. It was supposed to be strawberry blond dammit!

I always liked how Nancy was either hit on the head or chloroformed into passing out in each book. She never once got a serious concussion. What a gal.

She was a tough one, our Nance. *pride* And yes, Nancy/Frank! Hey, if two of us read it, it can't be a figment of our imagination. Right? ;)

And I'm sorry I missed you when you left. I suck :)

Officially not a figment of our imagination.

Nancy promised herself that no matter how good-looking the guys were on this cruise, she wasn't even going to think about romance. And especially not with Frank Hardy. She'd crossed paths with Frank and his brother before, and every time she did, Frank had the same powerful effect on her.

Ha! It's totally canon *g*

Oh and sorry for skipping out so fast last night. I still wasn't feeling all that great.

Seriously, especially after that one Cruise Crossover, I was all for Roman Holiday, Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys style.
