Luceti - Luke fon Fabre; Evaluations

Mar 21, 2011 17:50

Kyio's Luceti Meme

1) Height: 5'7". Not the tallest guy ever. (… but 171 cm is 5'6" idk)

2) Weight: 150 lbs. A NORMAL WEIGHT OMG.

3) Eye color/Hair Color: Red hair and green eyes, sounds normal enough. Except that his hair fades to blond when it's long enough or if he leaves it alone enough, idk HOW it got to be that way.

4) Age: Seventeen (actually seven).

5) Voice: I play Luke with Yuri Lowenthal's voice in mind, so it's slightly high and scratchy, like a typical teen, but it also carries a lot of emotion. It can easily convey happiness, excitement, sadness, anger, fear and care.

6) Who does the housework in their house/apartment?: Thaaat would be Guy. Luke knows that Guy likes it, too, so he usually leaves him alone and tries not to do anything before he does. Occasionally he tries to do some of the chores, but Guy usually beats him to it.

7) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: And again, Guy does all the cooking. Luke tries, but he's not very good at all. His favorite food is chicken and most other meats, but he hates seafood and isn't particularly fond of vegetables, particularly carrots.

8) What they do during an average day in Luceti: Luke wakes up very late. He likes to jog as much as he can around the village to keep in shape, and when that wears him out, he goes to Good Spirits to hang out with Guy and have a soda or water or whatever he's in the mood for (he's not interested in alcohol). After he's talked out, Luke heads back home and checks the journal, then grabs his sword and goes out to train, either in the barracks or the battle dome. After he's done that, he usually just does his own thing - either practice the piano or go home and take care of his plants or whatever. He has two journals with him - one to keep tabs on people and the other to write about his day. At the end of the day he reads the book on hyperresonance that he got for Christmas (it's one big book and he finds it fairly boring), then he hangs around the house or goes out to look at the stars before he eventually tries to sleep.

On the days he has school, he blearily wakes up, goes to class, then goes right back home and takes a long nap before trying to complete the above.

9) Their general sense of fashion: Weird. He likes baggy things that can show off the muscle he has, as anything tighter makes him feel uncomfortable, so he'll sometimes even leave shirts and such unzipped. He likes random things too, like belts or little things lying around that he thinks might look good on him. Usually, though, it's just a baggy shirt, baggy pants and a baggy, button-up vest of sorts.

10) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: Luke likes to collect swords, though he never has too many. He only picks up ones that happen to look really cool and are probably useless in battle. It's not for use, after all, but merely for show. He takes care of plants, too, though he's not as into it as Pere, the one who taught him how to do it in the first place. In Luceti he has an ivy that's already started to grow around his window, an aloe vera plant, and some random flowers that he picked out for being pretty. Recently, Luke's taken up an interest in playing the piano, and he makes sure to practice at least once a week in Seventh Heaven. He secretly hopes he can get one for himself, though he won't ask for it or wish too hard for it since he's sure he'd just annoy his housemates, not to mention he isn't sure how he'd get it to his room.

11) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: It's too early to tell at the moment. Luke has a little more value in his life since he nearly lost it in one of the drafts and since he's met replicas like him who have so many friends and are so successful during their time here, and he's closer to accepting himself as "Luke" since Asch strived to stop calling him "replica". But they're only small steps in the long journey it'll take to truly get himself out of his depression.

12) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: For all the useless little weapons he collects, he does have one or two that actually work, and he uses them both when he trains. He doesn't carry it around with him often, though, only when he feels like there might be danger around. Luceti's been so peaceful that he hasn't really had a reason to do it.

13) Who are their neighbors?: 2, 3, 4 and 5 are all around them. No one lives in House 2 at the moment, he doesn't know the person in House 3 (Minako Aino), nor does he know Stahn… But he has been acquaintanced with a few of the Strawhats in House 6.

14) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: About four months :| Which is only about two in Abyss!time. He's not near being used to Luceti's calendar.

15) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: He likes Good Spirits, if only because Guy's there, and he likes the battle dome (when he gets the coordinates right, anyway) for a good brawl with monsters.

16) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: Red fade to blond, like his hair when it was longer. Luke's changed his clothes to accommodate for them, though he sometimes covers them up with a cape of sorts since he doesn't like them very much (he finds them useless and stupid).

17) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: His hair grows a little bit, but Luke makes sure to keep it trimmed and short. He's lost a few pounds since he's taken up jogging and training again, something he fell back on during his moping period in the manor. But that's about it so far. He'll never grow taller.

18) What do they miss the most from home?: His momma ;A; Also riding around on the Albiore. He's not a nut about the design and everything like Guy, but he does love flying in it and kind of wishes he could learn to pilot it. Only kind of. He KNOWS he'd have to learn the intricacies of how it works and he does NOT want to sit down for that.

19) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two? lol, Luke's handwriting is terrible. It's been called "cheagle scratch" canonly, and though he prefers talking over writing, he's actually not that bad of a writer. He seems to be more eloquent with his words, anyway. He does all of his writing in his diaries other journals, so he doesn't feel like doing more in the one used for communication. That, and he doesn't want people to make fun of his handwriting.

20) Anything else you want to note?: The big damn survey down there |D

Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
For all the baggy shirts and the abs that Luke shows off, he's actually pretty thin, as the Towel Boy outfit shows off. Thin, yet well toned. He's also kind of average sized, maybe on the short side; 5'7".

2. How old is he?
Physically, he's about seventeen years old. In actuality, he's only seven, and he acts like a strange mix between the two ages.

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
Luke tends to lean his weight to one side, but otherwise, he stands with a relatively straight back. Comes with being in the royal family and all.

4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
He's definitely in shape, and even before he got thrown into truly fighting with the sword, he was pretty fit. These days he's quite well off. Issues do pop up when it comes to his connection with Asch, and if he strains his fonons to the point where they start to separate, he could start to disappear, so in a way, he's pretty fragile. And if he dies, there's no way to bring him back, considering his body would fade into seventh fonons and fly up to the sky. But yes. He's totally fit.

5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Mm, he's about average. He's not clumsy, yet he's not graceful either. Luke tends to charge ahead in battle, as he's more someone to run up and hit something rather than strategize.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
I'm not really a good judge on who is and isn't attractive, but I suppose he's pretty good looking. More on the cute side than anything else, though. Luke, though? Reeeally doesn't like how he looks. In the past, sure, he may have been proud of his looks, but now his image only serves to remind him of what he is and what that means. If he could change how he looks, he definitely would, even if it'd only help a little.

7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
He's pretty light. At least, compared to the rest of the party. It probably comes from being holed up in the manor for most of his life, although it also comes from being a replica of Asch. Asch is the exact same tone as he is and all.

8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
Why is it that all anime/video game hair styles are so weird? Luke's is short and shaggy, the remnants of his even more ridiculous hair in the past. It used to fade to blond, too, yet with the ends cut off, all that remains is the red. Since it's so shaggy and sticks out everywhere, it probably isn't exactly the softest hair out there. Still, he takes good care of it, a habit that he can't kick himself out of, so it isn't very rough either.

9. What color are his eyes?
Green.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
It's worth noting that he looks pretty much exactly like Asch. His hair parts to the left rather than the right as well as being a shade lighter, and he used his left hand rather than his right (he was never taught how to), but otherwise, they look pretty much like identical twins.

11. What are his chief tension centers?
His right foot, which he leans on ALL THE TIME, and his fingers and knuckles. And his eyes, too.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
Luke's sense of style is so weird. Even the party points it out on occasion. If they're around, he'll use it, such as gloves that look like they're about to fall off or wrapping up a towel in his hair. He thinks it looks good, but, well… And any of his clothes that happen to have zippers are left unzipped, as he has this thing against them. He also knows that he's got a good body, and he worked hard for it, so he likes clothing that can show it off. As for colors, he tends to go for black and white things, leaning more towards the white, along with golds and reds. Occasionally he won't mind dressing up, as he does come from royalty and all, but he'd much rather go for his own weird style.

13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
Half the time they're so baggy that it looks like they're going to fall off of him, but they always manage to stay on, and he seems comfortable enough in them. In fact, tight clothes make him feel a bit like he's suffocating as a result.

14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
Luke has no job. :| But if we're talking about when he's in counsel meetings with royalty and whatnot, then… yeah, he pretty much dresses the same, although he might smooth down his hair a little or something if people call him out on it.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Briefs.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
I keep Yuri Lowenthal's version of his voice in mind, and it's pretty much what you'd expect from a teenager. It's slightly high, just slightly scratchy, and carries a hell of a lot of emotion. One can tell how he's feeling just by listening to his voice, really. It grows soft when he's feeling down on himself, strong when he's confident and determined, shaky when he's upset, stuttery when he's lying, that sort of thing. Luke isn't very good at concealing himself at all.

2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
He speaks at a pretty normal volume (although he used to be LOUD), and though he speaks easily, he's prone to hesitation thanks to how little confidence he has in himself. Luke can definitely get loud if he wants to (being flustered or angry or whatever), but he also speaks clearly and slow enough so that everyone can hear what he's saying. It's how he was taught, after all.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Well, according to Jade, his dialect could use some work since he's practically a seven-year-old, but that could just be Jade being Jade. He seems to have a normal enough accent when we hear him speak, and no clear quirks that fit just him. Well, he is awfully fond of the words "dammit" and "hell" and "bastard", but it's not like he's a sailor or anything. Though he does tend to use "yeah", "okay" and "oh" a lot, either as sentence starters, enders or confirmations.

4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
The fonic language, which is the main one of Auldrant. It seems to be the same as English, just with different written letters. He's pretty good at it, although there are some big words that he doesn't know, if only because he wasn't taught that far ahead. There's another language called Ancient Ispanian that apparently everyone except him knows, and it's largely the same as what they speak now, only the grammar and pronunciation is different. It's probably a good thing that he wasn't taught that.

5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
No, not really. If it's a stressful situation, he's a little more forceful with his words, resorting to the curse words that he so loves. But that's about it.

6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
Considering he often yells at rulers about what they should do and what they can do, he's a pretty good speaker, though not nearly as good as Jade. That only shows that he's not afraid of who he's talking to, though. As far as thinking of what to say, he does need a little time to think, as he'll stutter and try to stall until he can think of something, or stay quiet during a group conversation until he can speak. When the group is trying to convince someone higher up about something, he's usually the last one to jump in and give a big damn hero speech that usually wins them over.

7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
He was taught to be eloquent, so eloquent he is. This really only changes if he's at a loss for words, like the example above, as he'll say random words like "Uh, y-yeah, sure" and stay off the topic until he can speak properly again. Even when he's angry, all of his words flow together, loud and flustered they may be. Still, even though he was taught that way, he never uses any big words, as he wasn't taught any. He's no hick or anything, but you'd sooner hear a simple generalization ("Lorelei and stuff") than specifying what he's talking about (usually it's because he DOESN'T know what he's talking about).

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
Technically, Luke is more street-smart. Since he has the education of about a first or second grader, Luke learned about the world as he traveled within it, all thanks to the rest of the party. He doesn't really understand things like math and science and all of that; in fact, he barely understands things about his own world. So… no, he's not very intelligent at all.

2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
Didn't we kind of answer this before? It really depends on the situation. Usually Luke tries to jump to whatever conclusion is available, and then works through any other possibilities. But that's because we usually see Luke in stressful situations - when things are calm, he stays quiet and thinks to himself, and depending on the subject of his thoughts, he'll either talk about it when prompted or keep it to himself.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Logical? Pah. It's up to the party to throw logic back at him. No, Luke's much more intuitive, trusting his emotions and his instincts when it comes to his decisions. Because of the fact that he barely knows anything about the world, however, he's a bit hesitant, for while he's making a decision half the time, the other half is spent asking if his decision is all right to those who know more than he does. It'd be pretty bad to run into a situation when you didn't know everything, after all, something that Luke has learned the hard way.

4. What kind of education has the character had?
Barely any. Luke had to be taught the basics of life by his servants and tutors, from learning how to walk to memorizing faces and names. He was literally raised from infancy to the age of seven, and though his mind, advanced physically, made learning faster, it still took most of his life to function the way he is now. Thus, he was only taught the bare bones of academics and had to learn the rest by traveling the world.
Luceti: He's attending school now, and we'll see how much he learns from there.

5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
Not… much of anything. Luke is only seven, thus he's learning more about the world and himself every day. If anything, he has talent with music, but he doesn't particularly like singing. (Luceti: However, he's recently taken to an interest in piano playing.) He'd like to learn more about that, and also pretty much everything, although he tends to give up if he doesn't get it right away. Swordsmanship is something he's always interested in, even though it causes him just as much grief.

6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
This is kind of tricky. While Luke isn't a wallflower by any means, he certainly isn't a social butterfly either. Having spent his entire life being holed away in a manor kind of puts a damper on the latter. At the same time, it's also because of that that he's willing to reach out and learn more about the people he comes across. It's also thanks to being released from such confinement and learning things in the worst way possible that Luke came to understand and value the lives of others, thus adding to him wanting to learn more. Yet that's also the reason why his confidence in himself is so low (that and being a replica), and he doesn't know why people would consider him a friend, or even someone worth talking to. Situations are awkward because of that, and so he stands in the middle of the loner/social spectrum.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Mood swings. Mooood swings. As Tear once said, Luke overdoes all of his emotions. He gets too angry, too excited, too depressed, too repentant. When Luke feels an emotion, it's never really subtle unless he's already calm and has no reason to fall into that emotion. This is why he's such a terrible liar; he's so honest with his emotions that it's easy to look past whatever he's saying and see how he's really feeling. In the past, Luke was a lot like a typical rich kid: proud, spoiled, selfish, ignorant, and unwilling to learn about anything unless it directly related to him. And while a tiny bit of that still remains, events on his journey have pretty much turned that all around. These days, Luke is repentant, selfless, eager to learn, and quick to be down on himself about most anything. If he can't learn as fast as everyone else? It's because he's a replica. If his original gained something he didn't? It's because he's a replica. If something starts to go wrong? It's likely because of something he did. Not to mention Van's "final" words to him, about him being nothing more than a throwaway pawn… regardless, Luke is extremely driven to fix his mistakes and do whatever he can to make sure that others are living happily, no matter what he is or what he can't do.

8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
It really depends on the person/situation. If it's something he can't really handle and he knows it, like an overconfident, overforward person? He's a bit timid, and he feels nervous around said person. But if he knows he can handle it, like a situation that can be fixed? He dives into it with the determination of a bull. Over and over I've said that Luke is an emotional person, so it's hard to just fix one onto him. Depending on what it is, he could respond quite differently to it.

9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
React, and then act right after. Sometimes the other way around, which has gotten him into trouble. But it's usually the former.

10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
Default is fight, even if everything in him tells him "flight" instead. Luke could be so terrified that he'd be shaking in his boots, yet he'd still grab his sword and run forward to the fight. He'd rather do what he can than turn tail and run away from it all. Still, if it's a fight he can't win, Luke knows better than to keep fighting, even if he hates the circumstances. In cutscenes where the party has to run away from some force, he's usually one of the last ones to run away, mostly from protecting his friends and making sure they're well on their way first before following them, but also because the situation makes him want to stay and fight.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
Luke is more likely to poke fun at those he knows can handle it, such as ribbing on Natalia for being "ugly" when they both know she isn't, or Anise never growing up to be as sexy as the others even though they both know she'll probably grow to be a quite a pretty lady. He likes to get a rise out of people, but only when he knows that they know that he's joking. Otherwise, he'll keep things to himself, though he's been known to flatly give sarcastic jabs that are mostly ignored ("It won't crash!" "… It already did."). As for being on the other end of the joke, Luke will either take it with a look of exasperated disdain or a sigh, or grow flustered and sputter out defenses to the contrary, even though he knows that it's merely a jab at his already low ego. He'd like to salvage what he can, after all. He can usually tell when he's being trolled, too, unlike a certain princess. He's not quite that gullible.

Also, he's a boy. Of course he's going to appreciate bathroom humor.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
Not diagnosable, though people might think that's the cause of his slow learning. He does what he's always done: What he could, and that's all. It's not his fault that he's a replica with a seven-year-old mind and all.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
Everything changed in a day. When he destroyed Akzeriuth, a mining town that held ten thousand people, and for that matter, he was tricked into doing it by his father figure, Van. In fact, he'd been tricked for all of his life by that man for the purpose of being used. Later on, the entire party, the only ones who he knew beyond merely passing by, abandoned him because of what he did and his inability to take responsibility for it. After that, Asch came to him and revealed that he was a replica of him, nothing more than a copy. In the fight that followed, Asch knocked him unconscious and used their link to have Luke watch what Asch did and see just what his actions had done to the world. It was after those events that Luke resolved to change himself for the better, and he cut his hair to show it.

Much later in what Luke thought was his final fight against Van, his mentor told him that he was nothing more than trash meant to be thrown away, used merely as a weapon, and now he was useless. Those words stayed with him for the month afterward that he was confined to the manor again, especially since said manor was filled with people who were afraid or disgusted by him for what he was. That's one of the reasons why he's so down on himself these days.

14. What does he fear?
Screwing everything up again. Not finding a place in the world thanks to being a replica. Losing his identity, even though he already feels it's lost. Being so completely abandoned again.

15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
Finding a place where he can comfortably feel like himself, though he feels like this is an impossibility. Living without the Score to dictate everyone's lives. Most of all, though, he hopes for a world free from danger, free from something as limiting as the Score, free from more cases like him and Asch, and for peace to come over the countries that are so against each other - he knows the last case is much too idealistic and that it would take forever to truly settle, but he does hope that something like that can happen in his lifetime.

16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
Luke is incredibly open about himself, but if he can help it, he'd rather not have anyone find out that he's a replica, and even more than that, that he was the one who caused thousands of lives to perish in an instant. The subject of Akzeriuth still causes him to pause, go silent and turn away from whatever conversation is going on, as it isn't and never will be in the past for him. If he has to, he'll quietly bring up that Akzeriuth was all his fault, but otherwise he'll just keep the subject away from him.

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
It's kind of strained at the moment. He loves his mother very much, and his momma seems to love him despite what he is, but he feels as if he isn't her son. He still calls her mother and such, and she still dotes on him as much as she did before she found out he was a replica, but there's still a sort of tension in the air between them. So, he's not really sure what he's supposed to think of her, even though memories tell him otherwise.

His father, though? Has always been standoffish towards him ever since he was born, so the way he acts now isn't really a surprise to him. Luke never really could like his father because of that, although he still acknowledges him as so and still follows his orders. He really does wish he could gain his approval, but at the same time, he doesn't really work for it. All papa Fabre does is harp on him about how lazy and selfish he is, so it's hard to try with that kind of environment.

Plus, papa Fabre hid away all the letters his friends sent him for the purpose of talking to royalty only. Luke's affection for him was knocked down a few points because of that.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
Officially, Luke doesn't have any siblings. Technically, he considers Asch his distant older brother, and their relationship is anything but good. Asch is the original, Luke is the replica, and the latter ended up replacing the former and taking away everything, from his house to his parents to his girl. Of course, Luke never knew this until much later, but Asch never fails to bring it up and openly hate him anyway. Luke just wants him to go back to Baticul and take everything back, but Baticul is the last place Asch wants to go. Instead, he just runs around and confuses Luke with all of his contradictions and pushes him down for being something he didn't want to be. It's like Luke is reaching but Asch just slaps the hand away and moves on. Definitely not a healthy relationship.

Luceti: Luke is living with Asch right now, which makes him happy, yet horribly awkward at the same time. He's never told anyone this, though. Still, their relationship seems to be getting better, what with Asch doing his best not to call Luke a replica and even saving him from the Malnosso. Luke can only hope he can do something for him, something other than accepting his own name.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
Officially, none, since Luke is a replica and thus has no real relatives. But technically, Natalia is his cousin, and though he's "engaged" to her, Luke sees her more like a sister than anything else. He teases her and is sometimes exasperated by her, but at other times, he tries to cheer her up, backs her up when she's going up against a higher political party, and protects her. Luke loves her, but only in the way that a brother would love his little sister. She's also one of the ones who's been there ever since he was born, even though he didn't see a lot of her thanks to her living in the castle. For this, Luke really considers her special.

There's also King Ingobert, Natalia's father and Luke's "uncle", and while Luke has respect for him, there's still that stunt he pulled when he found out that Natalia wasn’t really his daughter. Sure, he got over it and saw what he should do, but Luke still can't really forget it. He does like him as a father more than Duke Fabre, that's for sure. Since he's a replica, though, he's not sure if he should consider him his uncle anymore, so he's taken to calling him "your majesty" instead.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
Definitely Guy. Guy was there when his parents couldn't be, what with his mother being weak and ill and his father just being an SOB. He was put in charge of teaching him words, how to walk, and pretty much every other thing that a human being needed to get through life. Of course, he didn't do everything; the maids helped as well as Natalia. But he did enough for Luke to consider him as a mother/father of sorts, a sibling, and most of all, his best friend. Their relationship was put to the test several times, what with Akzeriuth and Luke's actions afterward, the revelation that Guy had a strong desire to kill him in his early years, their relationship to Van… but they pulled through all of it, and so it stands to reason that they'll remain best friends/siblings/parent-child for life.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
GUUUUUY. ♥ Guy met the replica Luke when he was returned from Choral Castle, and Luke met Guy just a few days after he was born. Really, Luke has known Guy for all of his life.

6. Does he have other close friends?
Yup, that would be the rest of the party. Tear, Jade, and Anise. Tear is like a big sister/teacher/pseudo-crush, Jade is like a mentor to Luke, and Anise is the little brat who's like the kid sister of the whole group. Tear was the one who really set things into motion for the huge change that Luke would go through, and really, if it weren't for her, Luke would probably go to Akzeriuth, none the wiser, and die there. She's the one who guided him and stayed by his side even when everyone else had abandoned him, and thanks to that, Luke cares for her deeply. Jade and Luke had a rocky start, but eventually, Luke started to look towards Jade for advice. There are things that he'll tell Jade that he won't think about telling everyone else, and he doesn't have as much hesitation with certain subjects around him like he does with everyone else. Jade is someone to confide in about his deepest worries, even if he gets fed up with Luke or trolls him instead. Luke and Anise, too, had a rocky start, but soon enough, they began to treat each other as if they were siblings, too, though not close like Luke and Natalia. She was one of the last to believe that Luke really changed for the better, although Luke can't blame her.

7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
Luke has a natural kindness about him that lets people like him pretty fast, although Luke himself thinks that he has a lot of trouble making friends and keeping them. He reaches out even to acquaintances, but he feels like he doesn't really deserve friends, what with being a replica and the fact that he's done terrible things. With that weighing on him all the time, it's hard for him to look past it and see that he really does have a lot of people who genuinely like him for who he is, not what he is.

8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
Considering he's not even sure if he belongs to his family anymore and they're so distant anyway, he easily considers his friends more important, although he tries not to make a distinction.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
He's seven. :| Technically he was engaged to Natalia, but that was Asch who proposed to her in the first place, and he really can't see Natalia as anything more than a close friend (of course that usually happens in royalty, but still).

10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
Nope.

11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
His first crush was one of the maids in the castle, one of the blondes. She was the one who took care of him when Guy and Natalia couldn't, so he had a lot of affection for her, although he had no idea what it meant. When he tried explaining the feelings he had to her, she only thought he was absolutely adorable for feeling that way and never really explained what it meant, so Luke quickly got over that. Later on, she ended up being one of the only maids who didn't care if he was a replica or not, which caused his heart to skip a beat, but only for an instant.

Lately, though, he's been harboring a little crush on Tear, though he still doesn't really know what it means and tries not to let it be known. Luceti: And a big crush on Xion, which Guy makes sure to tease him for. Luke still isn't really sure what those cushy little feelings mean though, and he doesn't want to ask for fear of being mocked.

12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
He doesn't exactly look for things. :| Big boobies?

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?
He's seven. :|

14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
Hahaha, yes. Asch can definitely be considered a rival, although Luke just wants to give him everything that rightfully belongs to him and walk out of his life, even if the thought of it terrifies him, and we all know he can't just walk out of Asch's life now that he knows he's there. Van is definitely his enemy, despite all the twisted up feelings that come with that. Mohs is just a fat bastard. And the rest of the six God-Generals are his enemies, too, though he'd like to try to talk to them and figure out what their motives are, since they seem to have some feelings under there and do seem like they could be talked to, unlike Van.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?
Eeeh, somewhere between X and 1-2ish. He's not really big on relationships, and the thought of anything further than cuddles/hand holding and such kind of gross him out. But homosexuality also isn't an issue at all on Auldrant, so while Luke leans towards the ladies, he can't deny that he likes draping over his male friends without any kind of discomfort too.

16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
He's seven. :| That said, the topic makes him curious and grossed out at the same time. In other words, this is a literal case of the body saying YES and the mind saying a big NO, which is a lot more complicated than it sounds.

17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?
Nope, but with me being an astrology nut I'll probably try to find out.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
Luke isn't really any of these things, mostly because he was never taught about it. The closest thing the people have to religion, as far as he knows, is the Score, and that turned out badly for everyone. I wouldn't consider him spiritual either; he relies more on what's morally right and wrong than spiritually, and he relies on his gut feelings to figure out what to do next.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
Sort of. They're not set in stone or anything; sure, there's "I'll do whatever it takes to bring peace and happiness to the world", and everything kind of branches out from there. No more being terribly crass to people, no more jumping into things when he's not sure of the consequences to others, no more running his mouth. Luke just relies on what he knows to be right (and in a way, what the rest of the party thinks, since they know a lot more than he does about this kind of thing), though he's open to breaking it if the situation calls for it.

4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
The only thing he really believes is that fate is never set in stone, and when he encounters someone who believes differently, he does try to debate and let them see his side, though he's not going to hold them down and try to convert them or anything. Religion is beyond his understanding, so he probably wouldn't be curious about it, but indifferent and not really interested in learning more. Luke just can't see the sense in relying on a higher deity to get through life easier.

5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
None, since he was raised without them and finds prejudices too hateful to be a part of. His parents were more concerned with getting him to learn how to live rather than how to see the world outside, especially since he was never meant to go out there except to march out to die. Not to mention that Luke is on the other end of the hate right now considering that he's a replica, so even if he did have any prejudices, he'd try to keep it back since he knows the feeling all too well.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Luke comes from a ridiculously rich family, so much so that it doesn't surprise him at all if he happens to receive an allowance of 500,000 gald (although he says in a skit that he can't fool around with, say, a billion gald). In the beginning he'd often remark that a high amount of gald doesn't seem expensive at all, though these days, he sees the value of it and only mooches off of his parents when he has no choice.

2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
He's a noble, the son of the Duke and technically next in line to be king, so he's definitely at a high social status, though he's never had a good grasp on what it all entailed. In the past Luke flaunted his position around, but after his change in Akzeriuth, he began to feel like he wasn't very good at his position. Thankfully, Natalia never failed to let him know whether his actions were fit for his position or not (though she eased off on it when he said that it wasn't because of his position that he was doing those things). Now he feels like all those titles belong to Asch, not him, so being called so makes him feel awkward.

3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
In a nice, big manor that's served as his home for all of his life. He hates it. It was a place he was confined to in his past, and now it serves a reminder that he really doesn't belong anywhere. Most everyone in the manor is scared or disgusted by what he is, which made living there in the past month prior to his arrival in Luceti incredibly tense and crushing. But in a way, he still clings to it. It's the only place where he can be "Luke", even if it's said with hesitation. He's afraid of giving it up, but at the same time, he wants to get out of there as fast as he can. And it probably would benefit him to get away from there; Peony offered for him to live with Guy in Grand Chokmah, and though Jade said he shouldn't joke around about something like that (claimed it was "inappropriate", pfft), I honestly think he'd probably get by a lot better in that sort of environment.

Luceti: Luke is slowly growing more and more fond of Luceti and the house he lives in. Sure, Asch is living there too, which always makes Luke feel like he doesn't really belong there at all, but Guy and Natalia live there too, and they make sure to make him feel like he's one of the "family". During his first couple of months in Luceti, Luke would often try to move out and find a place just for him so that he wouldn't impose on Asch and make him feel like he was trying to take his home away or something, but his plans were always foiled by Guy, who'd only drag him back. His attempts slowly died down after that, and now he knows better than to try again. Unbeknownst to everyone except maybe Xion, he has a community housing building picked out just in case he does need to move out and has already looked through the rooms to see what they look like and everything.

Luceti doesn't nearly have the prejudices that Auldrant has since everyone comes from all sorts of different worlds with different circumstances, so Luke feels like maybe he can live in a place like this without feeling so looked down on.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
Just things that suit his fancy. In canon, Luke has several swords lying around that he never uses since he thinks they look cool, a radio of sorts(?), some potted plants, and… a poster of Van, though I think at this point he's taken it down. He also spends his money on weird clothes, things that make his hair look even more ridiculous, and little things that he thinks he might need, but probably doesn't.

5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
SAVING THE WORLD LIKE A BOSS. Hell yes he's good at it and hell yes he enjoys doing it.

Seriously though, Luke hasn't found anything he can do for a living yet, something which fills him with a small amount of despair as that just makes him even more sure that he has no place to go. He'd probably be good at continuing to be a goodwill ambassador/representative of Kimlasca, especially since he understands what it actually means, but he feels like he doesn't have the authority to ask about it considering how badly he screwed up that little job, and he hasn't tried anything else thanks to lack of motivation. At this rate, all he can think of is taking up little jobs, but something still holds him back from doing it.

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
The game never really expands on this, but he likes to collect swords, if only to showcase them. He also has an interest in music and dabbles in gardening; at least, he likes to talk to Pere about the different kinds of flowers and how to take care of them. He even has quite a few along his window that he might have planted himself. He's not quite as passionate about it as Pere, as he doesn't seem to worry about them at all while he's away, but it's something he does like doing. He also likes writing about his life in a diary (he actually calls it that, yes), but this is more of a habit than a hobby (and a convenient means of seeing where you are in the game). He's recently taken an interest in playing the piano, though he hasn't had any formal lessons yet, so he's not all that great. He does, at least, know how to play one simple song - slowly, but he's getting there.

7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
Luke has a healthy diet of eating three times a day (though sometimes he goes for eating small meals throughout the day, and depending on how much they're traveling, sometimes he skips out on them). He loves most kinds of meat, chicken most of all, and he also has a fondness for sweet things like cake. He does NOT like vegetables and seafood, though, and he absolutely hates carrots and octopi. Most of these come from Asch's own likes and dislikes, though the sweet food seems to have branched out from his usual likenesses.

Guy usually cooks everything for him, so much that Luke never thinks twice about it. Of course, he couldn't do it when he found a manor of his own in Grand Chokmah, and nothing has tasted the same for Luke ever since then. And he never drinks alcohol. He has no interest in it, and he's below the legal age (physically) in Auldrant anyway.
