BioWare lore broke my brain

A fact you may or may not know about me: I am a Lore Whore. I love nothing more than to sit for hours reading a wiki about something I've played or watched, learning all the lore and background and random facts about it. I am embarrassed at the amount of time I have wasted in the past on wowwiki. Or maybe I'm not embarrassed ( Read more... )

I know Mass Effect had novels, too. Which is good because it's even MORE in-depth of a backstory than DAO. Can't say I ever read them, though...might pick up the DAO novels someday, but, let's face it, I have trouble getting through the mainstream fantasy novels I already have these days. I've got friends who harass me at least once a week to read more of Name of the Wind.

Also, is it bad that I keep expecting Loghain to pull out the Soul Reaver? I never complain about good voice acting, but hearing that voice as anyone but Kain is impossible.

Oh yes, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who randomly looks at the last page of books. I don't even know why I do it.

I actually read somewhere that the Mass Effect novel was crap, but I don't remember where or if the person who said so was credible or anything really. These are pretty good so far. The writing of the characters is really good, although I'm only halfway through the first one. In the second Duncan and this Fiona chick show up.

I never played those games 8| Loghain is becoming slightly less of a douchebag from reading the novels though. His life pretty much is gonna suck, I think. No wonder he wants to kill all Maric's kids.

btw, that is still the best icon ever

Apparently children of an elven-human couple always bear the traits of the human (dominant genes I guess) which is another reason the elves are pretty much on the endangered species list: Because when some star-struck elven girl runs off to the city with a human who wandered past her Dalish camp, the kid she has is gonna be a human. So while she's off making little humans, other elves are dying but there's no one to make more little elves! Sad day in the Dalish camps/ alienages. :(

And before you give me a strange look, I'm a wiki-lurker too lol. ^_^
