right, so one of our cats, Slippers, was acting off. wasn't eating,  then she was puking, then she was just laying in one spot and really looking like she wasn't not a happy kitty

When I was in high school, my cat Josie ate a sewing needle too. I still feel guilty about it - It was totally my fault because I left the needle out. It got stuck in her throat and they were able to get it out, thankfully!

One of my cats ate some string once too. The same one was also fond of eating the fake Christmas garland that was wrapped around our banister.

dexter and i went through something similiar as you might remember but he had to have surgery to get it out. he doesn't eat shit off the floor anymore though so maybe slippers will learn her lesson now too. give her a scratch and tickle from manny and dex when you bring her home.

oh dear!! poor slippers. what's she doing eating all the sewing supplies?!! was she trying to mend her slippers?? - you know, and the needle just "went down the wrong pipe" when she hiccupped? man. i'm glad she's going to be quite alright...if not a little sore in the rear.
