i would surmise that ,in general, the feeling of most people, if asked, is that children learn by example.

so when i see parents who treat their own children with not even a hint of common courtesy.
who speak to their children in barked orders of direction and in harsh admonishment for the slightest infraction...

...i really want to scold them.

I so hope you're not talking about me...the fish missed you this weekend. Hannah was worried that Tom wouldn't know what to do. I think he figured it out though. Found a great little coffee shop in Viroqua...if you drink coffee.

you say please and thank you...i mean...at least until that stops working. i don't think the parents i saw even started there.
and you (or I) should totally take Hannah (and Caleb) to the Living Sea Aquarium in Park Ridge. my buddy who works there said she'd let the kids feed AAAALL the fishys...and there are quite a few. i only drink coffee when it has been altered to longer resemble coffee.
