Knock knock.
The door creep open with Donghae and his monkey plushy with him close to his chest.
“Hyukkie..Are you here?” donghae peek from the door. It is dark in Hyukjae’s room but he can see his lover’s figure on the bed.
He tip-toed to the bed and slip under the blanket. Laying to his side facing Hyukjae’s back. His plushy is right in between. He stay silent for a while hoping that Hyukjae will turn around. Donghae’s eyes are everywhere in the room.
His fear come back again. With his shaking hand, he shakes Hyukjae’s shoulder. “Hyukkie..wake up. I’m scared.” Tears start forming in his eyes and the thunder outside add to the fear he is feeling inside. Even after a few shakes, Hyukjae still sleeping. Sobbing, Donghae move closer to Hyukjae’s back, buried his face on Hyukjae’s neck. His hand hugging the plushy so tight, his body is shaking and Donghae’s sob echoed in the room.
Feeling the foreign movement in his bed, Hyukjae finally wake up from his sleep. He feel wetness on his neck and somebody is shaking behind him. He turn around and meet Donghae’s wet face.
“Hae? When did you come in? Why are you crying?” His voice sound hoarse because of the sleepiness. Still, he bring his lover closer to his chest. Stroking his back so gently.
“I’m scared.” Another thunder booming outside. Donghae’s body shaken even more. He buried his face more on Hyukjae’s chest and his hand hold on to Donghae’s waist too tight.
It was a little bit painful for Hyukjae but he don’t really mind it. “It’s just a thunder. Close your eyes and you’ll be okay.” Donghae shakes his heads a couple of times.
Hyukjae bring his comforter up to their head. They are both covered under the blanket from head to toes. It always calm Donghae down. Then he pull away a little and gently stroking Donghae’s cheeks with his fingers.
“Okay. Look at me.” He still rubbing Donghae’s lovingly. He knows his eyes can be a distraction to Donghae. “See.It’s you and me now. You will be okay.” He press kisses on Donghae’s eyes, cheeks, nose, forehead and lastly lips.
“Better?” he ask when he feels Donghae relax. “I think there’s a monster in my closet.” Donghae said; pouted slightly. And then he gasp. “What if alien caused this horrible weather and they try to take me away?”
Hyukjae let out a chuckle. “You think I’m gonna let them to that? They can never lay a finger on you.” he said and again press kisses on his lover’s face.
“Promise?”
“Always. are you still scared?” they stay silent. Eyes drowning in eyes. Donghae shakes his head and smile happily. The thunder still roars crazily but staying with Hyukjae, his voice and lovely gesture beats all the scary sound. Donghae really forget about his fear and finally sleeps peacefully in Hyukjae’s arm.
