Summary: Desperate for Her daughter life, Hyukjae take a drastic decision to leave her boyfriend behind and start anew in a new city. She was hoping that her past will never haunt her. Her life starts to change drastically. She did find happiness but will she found love too?

Chapter 13
Hyukjae continue to look at her reflection in the mirror.
“You look just fine. You better get going or you’re going to be late.” Jessica said to her.
“Mommy is so pretty.” Hana added.
“Jes, I appreciate what you did but I think this is a very bad idea. He keep staring at me like I’m sort of an alien. Seriously. I better change.”
“He did?” Jessica raised her eyebrows.
“Well, that’s mean you look so great. Trust me. Now lady, off you go. Me and Hana got things to do.” Jessica push Hyukjae out of the house with a little help from Hana.
“Fine, but this is the last time I’m going to dress like this.” Jessica stick out her tongue and so did Hana. “Bye bye mommy.”

Hyukjae nervously enter her shared office with Donghae. She takes a peek before entering and felt so relieved that Donghae hasn’t arrive yet. Hurriedly, goes to her desk and settle down and proceed to her work; scanning on Donghae’s schedule for the day and take note if he need to be in a n important meeting. She then organize Donghae’s table and make sure some important document is visible to Donghae’s eyes on his table.
She was still organizing when suddenly Donghae walk in.
“G-good morning, sir..” She said nervously; not sure if DOnghae is in his good mood.
Donghae stares at her for a while before nodding his head, walk to his table as if Hyukjae wasn’t there.
Hyukjae can’t help but to pout at his action and remain standing on the side of Donghae’s table.
“Are you going to continue pouting like that all day long? Will you please bring my coffee?” Donghae said while reading his files.
“I..right away, sir.” Before Hyukjae can turn the door knob, Donghae call her again.
“You look nice by the way.”
Hyukjae was stunned. That is the very first time Donghae had compliment her new look. She look back at Donghae but was once again feeling dissappointd when she sees Donghae’s eyes are on the files he’s reading.
“Thank you , sir.”

It was almost lunch when Hyukjae receive a beautiful flowers. Looking puzzled, she search for any card that was attached to it.
“This belong to a goddess like you, Hyukjae-shi. Will you have lunch with me? - Siwon”
Hyukjae blush and smile as she read the message. Just then her cell rings. Unknown number. Hesitantly, she press the green button.
“Hello?”
On donghae, even though his eyes in on his files but his mind is somewhere else. He get really curious. And who is calling Hyukjae, now.
He keep on listening on what hyukjae and the unknown caller. But his question was answered as his door swang open and Siwon walk in.
“Do you like the flowers?” Siwon ask directly at Hyukjae.
Donghae raised an eye brow looking at the intruder.
“Well, what will you say? Will you have lunch with me?”
Donghae pretend to clear his throats just to tell Siwon he is still in the room. His plan was successful when Siwon look back at him.
“Oh, Donghae-shi. I didn’t see you there. You won’t mind if I take Hyukjae-shi to have lunch with me, right?” Siwon ask coolly.
Donghae look at Hyukjae who is now looking at him and Siwon nervously.
“Well, We are just about to head out for lunch. You can join us if you want to.” Donghae answer back.
Eh? Hyukjae thought. As far as she knows Donghae has been shutting her out. He never invite her for lunch that day.
“Come on Hyukjae. Let’s eat.” DOnghae grab his coat and walk pass Siwon toward Hyukjae’s table. “I’m starving.”
Although she is still confuse, she still follow Donghae. May be she can ask him later. That was what she thought.
During lunch, DOnghae is quiet as usual. The only person that is having a conversation is Siwon and Hyukjae. Donghae try to ignore the anger built inside him. He tries to shut his ears and pretend to not listening to every sentence that was changed between Siwon and Hyukjae.
They both look like a couple. With a lot of compliment and sweet words from Siwon that make Hyukjae face change color to pink make Donghae uncomfortable in his sit.
“Wait. Why am I feeling like this? What’s wrong with Siwon flirting with Hyukjae? I never care before. Plus I never like single mothers. They are always like to take advantages of everything.” Donghae thought in his mind. But he clearly he hates it when he sees Siwon is trying to hold Hyukjae’s hand. How glad he feel when Hyukjae take her hand back.
“So, I will fetch you after work is that okay?” Siwon ask Hyukjae with his charming voice which Donghae find so annoying.
“I uh..i think…”
“she has a little business with me. I promised her daughter to take her out today after work. So you should try next time.” Donghae cut Hyukjae off from answering Siwon;s questions.
“Daughter?” Smiling victoriously, Donghae answer. “Yes, she has a daughter.” But the happiness was cut short.
“My. I love children. Especially girls. They are joy to my life.” Siwon said with a big smile on his face.
“So when can I meet her?” Siwon ask again.
“I don’t know. Maybe next time.” Hyukjae said.
“okay. I bet she’s a beauty like her mother too.”
Couldn’t take it anymore with the flirtious Siwon, Donghae excuse himself along with Hyukjae saying that they have another appointment to attend too.
“I see you some other time, gorgeous.” Siwon said and kiss on the top of Hyukjae’s hand. Donghae rolled his eyes in irritation.
Just like the other day, The ride in the car was heavy. Again Donghae stops at the side of the road and Hyukjae keep her mouth shut.
“You know what? You shouldn’t wear these kind of dress any more. Who are you trying to impress? You’re a mother. You has a daughter at home. What’s with the heavy make up? Are you trying to be a slut?” As soon as the words slipped out of his mouth, Donghae regret it immediately.
Hyukjae turn to him; furious. “You’re saying I’m a slut now? You just went over board. I know you hate me from the first day we met. But I never intended to impress anybody. You’re the one who said I should pay a little more attention to my appearance for the sake of your image and I did. I don’t know what else should I do to gain your respect. If this is what it is, I’m resigning. Thank you for all the experience and your kindness, sir.” She answer back and get out of the car.
Donghae remain in his sit for a while before his inner self force him to go and get Hyukjae.
“Hyukjae, wait.”
Hyukjae ignore him and continue walking. She walk as fast as she could so she can get away from Donghae fast.
Donghae has to run a little and grab Hyukjae’s wrist. “Please, stop.”
“No.” Hyukjae try to let go of her hand.
“I didn’t mean it that way.”
“What else do you mean if it’s not that way. All this time all you did is insulting me. I know where I came from. You don’t have to remind me about it everyday. Every second. Just because I’m me you didn’t respect me at all. I’m a human being too, Sir. I have feelings too. And oh, I’m gonna move out as soon as I can. I will pay back all the money you have invested in me.” as the last words come out of her mouth, she start crying.
This is not like Hyukjae at all. She never cry easily in front of others. Especially not in front of people who always look down on her. But when she’s with Donghae, she become more sensitives. She cry easily, she get mad and she get disappointed. She didn’t get it at all why she’s acting that way.
Donghae’s heart tightens as he listen to Hyukjae’s word. Seeing the lady in front of him crying make his guilt even more bigger.
Didn’t know what else to do, Donghae pull Hyukjae’s body toward him and hug her tightly.
“I’m sorry. Please stop crying. I’m sorry. I don’t know why I said that. I’m sorry.”
Hyukjae’s tears stop as soon as her body come in contact with Donghae. This is the first time she’s this close to Donghae and it make her heart beats faster than usual. Listen to Donghae’s apologies make her feel better too. It’s not everyday Donghae apologise after saying mean things to her.
“Please stop crying.” Donghae loosen his hold and look at Hyukjae’s face and wipe away her tears.
“I thought you’re strong. Why are you crying so easily?” He ask and keep on caressing Hyukjae’s face.

“I’m sorry for what I said.” Donghae pull her into a hug again. They stay like that for a while.
“uh.. Sir, you can let go now.”
“Have you stop crying?”
“I..Yes. Sir, people are watching.” Hyukjae is blushing hard because of the teasing look she receive from the crowd.
“Ok. But let’s go somewhere first.”
Donghae don’t have the time to say no when Donghae drag to the car again.

“Sir, isn’t this too much? I already have plenty at home.” Hyukjae try to stop Donghae from grabbing any clothes near him.
“I know. But from now on you’re not allowed to wear skirt. And that’s final.” Donghae keep on tossing dresses on Hyukjae’s hand.
“But this is too much. I can’t afford this.” She receive a glare from Donghae when she try to put them back on the shelves.
“To the counter.”
Donghae paid for everything and there is a satisfactory smile on his face.
“Okay. Throw all the skirts. Too short. Not good for you.” He said and let Hyukjae take the bags.
“But I thought he said I look good this morning.” She pouted.
“What did you say?” Donghae ask when he heard mumbles from Hyukjae.
“Nothing, sir. Nothing at all.”
“I thought I heard you said something. Just wait here. I need to buy some more things.” Donghae disappeared in the crowd of people; leaving Hyukjae alone sitting at the empty bench along with her stuffs.
“Hello. I didn’t aspect to see you here.” A stranger voice greet Hyukjae.
“Oh, Siwon-shi. I’m here with Donghae.” Hyukjae didn’t know why she feels like she need to say that.
“I see. You got a lot of stuff with you I see.” Siwon point to the bags near her.
“Donghae insist on buying me these. It’s not necessary in my opinion.”
Siwon notice how Hyukjae comfortably use Donghae’s name.
“So do you mind if I join you here?”

Donghae look happily at the stuff he just get. He knows Hyukjae will love them and Hana too.
When he is about to call out Hyukjae’s name, he stops his tracks upon seeing hyukjae is talking happily and comfortably with Siwon.
Unnoticed to him, he starts to clench his fist.
“Why is he everywhere?” Donghae growl.
“Hyukjae..”
Both Siwon and Hyukjae look at Donghae who just show up in front of them.
“Donghae-shi.. I ..Siwon just…”
“Hello, Siwon-shi.” Donghae gives him a friendly smile.
“Hello. I didn’t know I see you guys here. I thought you said you have an important meeting to attned.”
“Oh, about that. It got cancel.” Donghae gives what he just buy to Hyukjae.
“For Hana.. and you…” He said. Hyukjae look in the bags and find a lot of her favourite fruit in there.
“Strawberry??? So many.. Thank you, sir.” She said with glitters in her eyes. Donghae smile so proudly after what Hyukjae said.
“So, let’s get going now. It’s already late.” Hyukjae bow a bit to Siwon.
“I call you tonight, okay. Let’s talk.” Hyukjae just waves at him.

“sir, I don’t know how to say thank you. This is very kind of you, sir.” Hyukjae said all bubbly when they almost reach the office.
“It’s just for my apologies.” Donghae scratch his nape feeling so shy all of a sudden.
“But you had done nothing wrong. And this is too much.” Hyukjae said but from her eyes, she really appreciate what Donghae did to her.
“I did. I make you cry before.” Hyukjae blush at those words.
“Jessica and Hana will probably be mad at me if I haven’t do anything about it.” Donghae reason out. Hyukjae pout again. So it is all because Donghae is afraid what Jessica and Hana do if they found out that he make her cry.
“*sigh* thank you. But I don’t think this is necessary.”
Before she can get out of the car, Donghae hold her arm. “Please take it if you forgive me.” With her flush face, Hyukjae nod her head.

That night, both hyukjae nad Donghae find it hard to fall asleep. Both thinking the same thinkg. What is happening to them both. Why are the sudden changes they feel in their heart when they see each other.
Hyukjae want to find a good reason of Donghae’s behavior. One maybe he don’t want Jessica to be mad at him anymore. Two, may be he did all because of Hana. Three, maybe he is trying to be nice after she fainted and learn about her past.
On Donghae, he want to throw away all those confusion he is feeling inside. Why is the feeling keep coming now? What make his heart change? He try to make himself hate Hyukjae more but he can’t. There is a fluffy feeling he is feeling inside him. Why does he hate it when Siwon is so close to Hyukjae? Why does he feel so angry when Hyukjae is talking happily to Siwon? He cant explain the existence of those feeling. He is someone who always all about work and hate Hyukjae’s kind. What did Hyukjae did to him? Is she a witch who has cant a funny spell to him? That make he feel not sure about his feeling and heart anymore?
Cant take anymore questions in his mind, he get out of the bed, grab his keys and head to the nearest bar; hoping that he will finally be able to erase Hyukjae away from his mind.
