Just finished a game of Arkham Horror (finally) and H____ just ate us alive....

That game is fucking awesome. It's -real- hard to beat with less than three or more than four players however.
Was it a first time playing for anyone?

first time all the way through (we keep trying to play with the kid asleep) we also have the dark Pharaoh expansion...double AAAAAAAAAAAAAH! goodness

I find that a great "starter" Old One is Azathoth. 20 Doom tokens gives players time to close portals and fight monsters off, he doesn't change the board too much (Makes cultists worse is all, if memory serves) and his awaken condition means the game ends, no messy fight with the G.O.O. phase.
The expansions are hell, however. They just make the game all the harder for investigators to win. (Esp. King in Yellow with Heralds, neat though they might be)
