So I've been kinda out of the loop sexually speaking, since we came to Seattle. We're not completely "gotta get some" guys. We have a healthy home sex life, we still jump on each other a few times a week after almost 20 years. So there's nothing to complain about. a few times a week plus extra curicular? wow - i am definately not eating enough red meat - i'm doing good if it's a couple times a week and that pretty much counts out most most extra curicular stuff.
sounds like a nice set up though - the idea of a 4 some date with another couple is soooo freakin' hot. i dont think me and the bf would ever be up to being that open... i guess i'll just have to live vicarioulsy through you... let me know how it goes!

Well, I gotta say (and I mean this quite sincerely) it ain't for everyone. I totally don't mean this to imply it's better, worse or equal to two men together monogamously. It's just what we prefer and enjoy. Dave and I have figured out via discussion, trial and error, and just the long time we've been together all the details about what works for us both.

I've seen other discussions about configurations in gay relationships, and one (annoying) comment I've heard thrown around is "I refuse to let straight society fool me into emulating marriage as the only option acceptable for a relationship". I find that position pretty ignorant when it's applied to couples that just don't want to share their spouse in a sexual context. To me it's the equivalent of saying "I refuse to eat a mid-day meal, because Nazi's customarily ate lunch - and I certainly am not a Nazi". So for the record (and I'm pretty sure most of my friends already know this) I just mention this in a "it works for me" context. Not as a suggestion for everyone else, or ( ... )

yup i totally agree to the 'each to thier own without judement' philosophy. but i do admire the openess you've achived via discussion - it's been 10 years for us so maybe in another 10 we should be so lucky ;) [at which time we'd come out to visit you (HOT!)] ;)
