This photo shows how dark it was in the street. And best illustrates what you saw with the naked eye.

Angie helped make a snowman with the neighbours. I did not help and shouted abuses at them while taking photos, such as

- "Making a snowman is such a wannabe northern hemispherian thing to do"
- "You all look like chastised council workers"
- "My mum said I was not allowed to get wet"

This house is directly opposite us and owned by a quiet Hungarian couple. This house is not characteristic of the street. This a barren and ugly house with that colonial, 1970's approach to home gardening. Yes, they even use water filled 2 litre bottles and place them on the lawn. Someone forgot to mention to them it doesn't work.

I imagine this is what million dollar homes in Siberia look like.

I decided to post the closer, blurrier photos of the car sliding backwards. At this stage he is determined to get to the top of the street and has been slowly sliding to the right. He has not yet worked out that ice makes it difficult for cars to climb steep hills.

Here he is stuck in the gutter. He has already learnt that cars cannot climb steep icey hills. And has stopped abusing his motor. I assume he is trying to work out why a person a few metres ahead is holding his arm high in the air and laughing. I have seen enough news stories to know not to get involved with drivers making stupid decisions. It only leads to an embarassing end.

The bike path behind our place.

I love how I was able to make the night look like day. Helped by the flashes of lightening. I was being harrassed at this stage by a female with an umbrella. She kept talking to me while I was trying to keep the camera dry. It was still raining quite heavily at this stage and she was annoying me with her dryness.

So there you have it.
