I can't stand talking about spirituality to loud, hard-line atheists and/or religious zealots. It's like, in my perspective, they're both the same... each side whining to the other that their beliefs, be they based in faith and scripture, or based in science and theorem, are superior to the other's. It's obnoxious and I'm just not going to engage

In which case, it's always been the norm for humans to have superiority over another unless you're into the S&M aspect where you're deciding to be on the lower chain of things. Take for example that humans still believe themselves better than the fauna of this planet of which case they are still wrong.
