Right now if anyone in the world wanted to know who I was all they would have to do is listen to PJ Harvey's album White Chalk. This album has hit every nail inside me.

interesting.

i can't get into that album. i find it a little boring. it's very different. i do enjoy the track When Under Ether though. it's just too slow paced and whiney for me. Perhaps i should really listen to it on headphones.

So then I guess you must consider me boring, slow paced and whiny ;) That is interesting. I am definitely different. That is for sure.

How do you get whiny from that album?

I know! I was just teasing ;)

And hey...sometimes I AM boring, slow-paced and whiny!!

I know how you feel about wanting to like something too. But if something doesn't do it for ya...it doesn't do it. The chemistry is just not right.

Even the bits about laying in bed with no clothes on from the waist down and watching the ceiling move? ;)

I'm loving it too, although certain songs relate more to me than others. The whole thing reminds me of Plath -- in a very good way.

Oh definitely those bits too :)

I was listening to it today and thought wow, this is profoundly moving something inside me and I am connecting with it on a pretty powerful level.

I guess I need to give it another listen, an active one. First listen didn't do much for me, but I was in a rush getting ready to go somewhere...it was sort of background music.

I received my Cinnamon Girl disc set yesterday! Haven't listened yet.

It is definitely a grower because to be honest when I first heard it, I really liked it which was about a month ago now. Then today I was listening to it on repeat and all of a sudden I just started crying and thought...shit...this album is fucking speaking to me.

oooo I cannot wait to get my Cinnamon Girl too!! Wheeee! :)
