omg the Musketeer dive has comic pages! Also the octoboss for Riku, ffffff.
…IT TURNED AROUND BASTARD
I got it the second time! AND Gold, yesssss.
…oh gosh Peg Leg Pete…
OMG the reality shift is Comic Books I can’t. …wait no I don’t get how it works… ): okay no got it! I think… probably still gonna mess up sometimes.
Riku gets to the stage, and Pete has a setup where it looks like he’s testing out squashing Mickey and the others. Oh boy.
And then, tap tap, we find Minnie in a chest. She’s going to try to help the Musketeers, because well, we saw that rig-up Pete’s got… and then one of the Beagle Boys remembers there’s a piece left behind to control it and grabs the piece. Minnie gets angry, and uh she’s kind of cute when she’s angry. Though uh Minnie is always kind of cute, of course!
…pretty sure it’s meant to be ‘bon voyage’, Pete. Ehhhh that's probably intentional.
Oh yay, dropping gas… Gotta roll into things to move them. We’re going after the Beagle Boys to pick up the stage gadget (which moves a thing I guess?), and I accidentally ping one to fight before really realising it. I guess I thought we were going to fight all three at once.
Eeeee costumes! And I made an owl, the horn is still weird but OWL :D
Got the gadget! And oh shit knight-shaped Dream Eater? It keeps vorping around. Boss fight! And then it drops down and leaves its claws. Riku’s link with the Woeflower and Toximander also lets him warp, oooohh. And it's actually a moley thing. Well then.
And then after the boss fight we get a command that allows Riku to slide around in the shadows, yeeeees.
And Minnie tells Riku the motto and kyah kyah kids!
Sora’s dive is a prize gather, and I hit too many things to get gold, whoops. ^^;;
The Musketeers are facing off against a Dream Eater, and Donald is going straight to “We’re doomed!”. Donald, really? And Goofy goes the wrong way, though I’m sure he has nothing but the best of intentions. Sora ends up saving Mickey, and- I don’t know how this jives with everything, but apparently Mickey knows some of the things? He definitely recognises the Keyblade, though the other two don’t. IT’S A DREAM, let’s just. Leave it at that.
Sora joins up with the other three, and their mission is to protect Minnie, since someone’s after her. Even if I hadn’t done Riku’s side… well, it’s obviously Pete, from the way he’s acting here and his general setup in KHverse. Also, why has he got a peg-leg…? Anyway, our first duty is to protect Minnie’s carriage, which doesn’t go so well when a Tyranto Rex comes up behind us and knocks everyone else off. I didn’t do so well the first time, cause I assumed the only thing to do was blocked… but they’re weak to ice, so I added a bunch of Blizzaga commands and a couple other distance attacks, and that helped a lot for the second time. Minnie gets kidnapped anyway because of Pete’s goons, and we chase them up a tower where the Beagle Boys try to play Donkey Kong or something and are pretty weak at it. Goofy knocks the lot of them out by jumping out the window with Mickey onto a tree, and I wonder how he knew that’d work.
…well. It is Goofy.
Anyway, we’re all guarding things at night (which… looks like where we started from? okaaaaay), only Goofy wanders off because he saw something (this doesn’t get explained), Donald reveals Pete is behind the kidnapping and is too chicken to handle things, Mickey gets kidnapped and a Me Me Bunny knocks Sora out, seriously? augh augh augh.
Anyway, Goofy and Donald come back, and we go to save Mickey from a watery death. I was expecting a boss fight there, but… no! Okay. We just have to deal with a lot of elephants in a room, the ones above ground level are a PAIN. I didn’t really get what the go was with the fountains, which was most of the problem.
We rescue Mickey, whose turn it is now to have the crisis of confidence. Uh. This… is a thing that gets weird for me- I know why they pull it out, so you can see that turnabout to success, but it doesn’t really ring true for Mickey. Donald, Goofy and Sora talk him out of that, though, and they head back to save Minnie from Pete’s clutches. They get to the stage, right in position to be hit by the crate from Pete’s trap (…so this was anticipated all along? Honestly, that’s more forethought than I ever expect Pete to display), only it just disappears a few metres above the Muskeeters, what? What?
…so Riku’s turning of the stage gear really doesn’t make any sense in terms of actually visibly effecting something. I don’t. Okay.
Sora tells the others he’ll take care of Pete and co., they should look after Minnie, and we get to fire the Beagle Boys at Pete, and then fire Pete out of the cannon once we’ve beat him down. It is pretty satisfying, not gonna lie.
And then Minnie dubs them all genuine Musketeers (I… don’t know what the deal was with Pete’s dubbing of them, but okay). Minnie! I love Minnie.
And then Axel is with Mickey and co in Yen Sid’s tower, and apparently Xehanort had some hand in dividing Sora and Riku from each other, which surprises me not one whit. Also, they’re probably in trouble, but Yen Sid’s not so sure they can do anything about that, fabulous. I… I am not convinced Xehanort could see that far, but fine.
Finally getting to go to Fantasia, eeeeeeeee. /o/
