But i guess it sucks less than being in love with someone who treats you like shit.

I think the distance strive actually helps in a relationship. You could be the guy who walks 500 miles, and then 500 more, making a total of 1000 miles, and be so tired that by the end you'd fall down at her door. Da-da-da-da, etc.
