I wonder if GOD used this sickness to really humble me. Or to make me realize again what's important in life--it's not about the church activities, but the relationship with GOD. GOD gave us his name in the OT: YHVH. He gave us his name in the NT: Jesus Christ. He's not a generic GOD or a genie that you can rub the right way

I know you use this journal as reflection, and that my views don't match yours, but have you considered your lack of joy while reading the Bible might mean you should spend that time seeking God in another way? I'm not saying to abandon your Bible studies completely, but perhaps taking a break and coming back with a fresh view and new experiences will help.

Actually, thanks for the call out. Although views don't match, I think you bring up a good point. I've been reflecting on what you said for the past month or so. I guess I'm still reflecting on that as I finish up this final month and the craziness of life.

Anyway, thanks for the comment, and in doing so causing me to scrutinize my motives further :) Although our views are different, maybe we can agree that the human mind is complicated, yes?
