I voted no on the Ammendment, and I'm a Republican... of course, I'm also not very religious, though I certainly have my roots in Christianity. So... yeah.

i'm also a repulican christian-- for the most part. the marriage amendment is really an interesting topic in all views. you have the biblical view that homosexuality is wrong (while as you said, no hate should be involved!) and then you have more a world-view that people should be given the choice to decide. Biblically, this nation was founded on God and so consitutionally it would agree with the bible. however, as a democracy, the people have the right and the say to choose how they want society. big reason why government and church are separated
