Seventh training session! [Video]

[As anyone who has talked to this girl for more than five minutes could tell you; Chie doesn't even know the meaning of the word 'fear'. Okay, no. But she is incredibly reckless. Which is why in the background of this nice feed that just flickered to life you will only see a landscape of that creepy, growing crystal. And hear a crunching noise ( Read more... )

Chie-san, be careful.

[Worried Naoto is worried]

Don't worry, don't worry. This is nothing compared to what we did back home, right?

[Said as she climbs over a practically high wall of crystal. Just look at those jagged edges.]

At home, we were also more capable of defending ourselves.

[Yeah, guess who's keenly disturbed at not being able to access her Persona?]

I wish I could help, but I'm too far away from all the action.

[And Chie finally stops and frowns at that. She misses her Persona as well.]

...It's not like we're in the TV world though. And we made it through every other regular day fine without them.

Don't worry. There's lots of trainers 'round Violet just waiting for a challenge. Just protect Yuiko-chan and don't rush.

[Derp. Pretend that was a -senpai earlier. Naoto nods]

I would not call this world "regular" but you are correct. And I will protect her; you have my word.

[laugh] That's true. Or you could just think of your starter as your new Persona. Not that I'd ever doubt you. You're one of the most thorough people I've ever met when it comes to safety.

Watson does have some things in common with Yamato Takeru.

[And Naoto smiles. She's very fond of Yuiko.]

Yuiko-san is very sweet. I've been teaching her to battle.

Mm yeah! Tomoe's a fighter type and everything! I don't think he learns any ice moves though.

Really? I can help you guys later. My Pokemon all turned out to be training junkies.

[that's totally your fault, Chie.]

He is the kicking one, right? I know there is an Ice Punch, perhaps there is an Ice Kick also?

I wish mine were like that. Watson and Hercule enjoy training well enough and get along splendidly but Marple would rather try to cart me off or play pranks. And Hercule hates her with a passion.

A move like that exists? There better be a kick or that's just blatant favoritism to fists.

That's where training comes in! It gives my Pokemon an excuse to whale on each other and I'm there to stop them before they go too far.

If I am remembering correctly, yes, and a Thunder Punch too.

I'm not certain that would be wise. Marple is part flying and Hercule is a rock-type.

[Poor Naoto when her Drifloon evolves and is big enough to successfully carry her off]

Is that one of those type advantage things? Wait. How do flying and rock have anything to do with each other? I can get the water and fire thing but that's just weird.

I cannot say, but some shadows we've fought have had unusual weaknesses.
