Azeal town is next! I'll take them down in no time!

What type of pokemon is that gym anyway?

... I don't know if you can take it, Senpai.

It was nothing! After everyone talked it up so much I still beat him. Type disadvantage or not.

Really? Uuu... um, I'm sorry if I made you worry with what I said about rocks and electrics and ices...

Nah! It all worked out in the end, so it's okay.

Have you tried facing him yet though?

Thanks. It was a piece of cake.

After my team rests up a bit I think I'll finally move out of Violet too.

Ah, really? I need to ask my traveling companions when they want to try moving on...

Oh, but, um-- Did you say you were going to make steak for you and a friend...? Have you, ah... had time to practice since that time I mentioned showing you how with Rise-san?

Yeah. I mean, Violet's nice and all but I can't wait to get moving again.

[just read that thread above, Hayate.]

I've seen steak being grilled thousands of times before. I don't think I'll screw it up.

Chie-senpai!

[Naoto is happy! ...and a tiny bit annoyed. At the same time.]

If you'd told us you were taking on the gym leader today we would have come to cheer you on.

[The other half of the "we" in question would be the Natu in a hat on her shoulder. "Natu Na!" That was either an agreement or scolding.]

[She's glad no one saw, she almost lost to him. And badly at that.]

It's okay. Your congratulations now is just as good.

I'm certain it was an excellent match; I'm very happy for you. I plan on battling the gym later this week. I want to get a couple more levels first.

I also want to work on my team with signals, rather than calling out attacks. If the opponent doesn't know which attack to expect it could give me an edge.

That's a really good idea!

But I don't think my team would ever listen to me if I didn't call it out. They're a stubborn bunch.
