When you're arguing with somebody over msn, does typing in CAPS the equivalent of yelling in person?

Also, if the person you were arguing with responded in a message all in CAPS, does it make you angry and why?

Unless the person always types in Caps, which I hate and don't understand, YES they are yelling at you, if you're arguing. And it makes you angry because its the equivalent of being yelled at in person.

but then when i assume that the other person is angry bc of caps i often get the reply "WHAT MAKES YOU THINK I'M YELLING!?"

i think its all in the context.. most of the time whenever I see ppl typing in caps its just for emphasis or trying to be funny, but if the context is definitely within some kind of argument and someone's trying to one-up you in the convo, than yeah it can get offensive..

i dont think ive had any serious arguments over msn or online so prolly like 99.9% of the times ive seen caps its just the person speaking retardedly as the internet makes us all do !!

i have a tendency to use caps for emphasis as well! yesss i love i realize that i'm not the only one that feels a certain way! haha!

you're lucky you've never had an msn fight, it's so irritating! i've punched my laptop on several occasions due to internet fights. hahaha
