Hanging Pictures

Got the Dark Boris and the icon hung. They are both in the studio and glow against the paper-white walls like Ukranian Easter eggs. I knew they would. We had done the icon a disservice by hanging it in a corner of the dark library all this time. It needs and wants to catch the sun and throw it back from the gilded background. Now it is in its

The Dark Boris is the user-pic for this main entry and the icon is the one on this comment. It is fun seeing them in the open air again. They have been stored too long. ;)

Yes, nothing beats seeing them at full size and in person, as it were. I feel much happier with them back near me. ;)

i love dumpster diving. I'll have to take a picture of the lovely folk painting I saved from the dumpster of the building beside my condo building. It's so wonderful, and is of a wilderness man and his dog in the doorway of his alaskan log cabin.

How anyone could throw it away is beyond my comprehension.
