for those of you who care...

... i suggest a meme of sorts.

how many of you out there really care about LJ?
how many of you out there really care about the development of LJ?
how many of you out there really care about the open-ness of the development of LJ?

if you're in all of those groups, i have a favor to ask. )

*sigh* Though I'm as concerned as you are, well, I don't think I'm the best person for this 'job' considering who moderates lj_dev. :/

Have you written to feedback? It seems to me that this is now one of the best ways of getting a real answer - seeing as it goes to support. I may do it too. It has come to a point where I don't even know if I should report bugs because I feel like I'm being a bother when I do this. They no longer want any input from 'outsiders', it seems. It's pretty sad, especially since they're looking for volunteers. If the point is to be part of some inner circle to have information, thanks but no, thanks.

Ohhh, is this sucker locked? Let's watch as Carrie starts making a flaming mess on your post, too. :P

Seriously, LJ can just kiss my pale white ass. It's not even worth the racks the servers sit on anymore. And while they're all talking bullshit about how they give a damn about what users think and how they want to make things good and blah blah blah, they pull stunts like this.

P.S. LJ, I'm not getting comments emailed to me. Again. Let's see you secretly fix that.

I care about LJ, but I don't think sending similar posts to the ones already rejected is an effective way. Apparently, it's not an appropriate topic in lj_dev, and they won't be able to tell you anything as posts will just continue to be rejected.

Feedback might be a good idea, though. But I don't like the idea of mass write-ins because of my experience in Abuse. Write-ins are generally only successful in pissing off the people who have to deal with them, and is that your goal? There won't be any more action than if one person wrote, possibly less because of the time that needs to be spent on responding to requests and the "pissed off" factor. That's what I think.

Have one person write and report the results.

they could have provided something in the rejection notice but they didn't.

Feedback might be a good idea, though.

i have no idea what people have done already, but, if someone formulates something that gets the point across, effectively, with good well-thought-out-thoughts, it might do something.

i however fail in the well-thought-out-thoughts department.

i was going to see if anything happened with my entries in no_lj_ads and s2styles but i got no official response from anyone to them.

getting a response to me from the LJ side seems to be very hit-or-miss. mostly miss.

Feedback doesn't always work as intended. I think that they should at least make some sort of public announcement that yes they have done it, and it's for this reason or that reason. Feedback will only result in someone responding back with a private answer that most likely won't satisfy whoever emailed, and everyone else will hear nothing about it unless whoever emailed starts posting the result all over.

Just personal experience.
