I'm not sure how I feel about this music - some of it is interesting and even moderately enjoyable, but the aggression and the vulgarity of a large amount is a bit much for my tastes. I must admit, however, it has been an interesting lesson in 'modern' slang.

To do what?

It's dusk out still. I can't follow you. You sneaked out before I could go after you intentionally.

This not your world, it's not your blood 'turf'! You can't just go off and do this.

Nothin' wrong with slang, but the music needs work.

It's not very melodic, that's certainly for sure.

Did everything work itself out last night? You were quite distressed.

Don't worry about me, gorgeous. I do just fine. The situation is working itself out.

'Gorgeous'?

You lot are awfully affectionate with strangers.

The education is lacking amongst the masses, the music and fashion are reflections of that.

I wonder if some of it is not some sort of social and political commentary on that very subject.

Sometimes, but it's the trend of what they call "popular culture." I was sheltered since birth, trained in military discipline and raised in the heart of aristocracy. I must admit I'm as unfamiliar to this "life style" as most who didn't live in the decade, except for the handful topics I learned from my soldiers.

I'd like to think all art forms and movements were originated to say something, though no one can argue that once a wave crests, those who see that it falls have clung on in the after-breath as a trend, or a desire for a certain social standing. I don't imagine that's changed any, over time.
