So I'm thinking of possibly getting an mac laptop. It comes with a free ipod (with a mail in rebate) if I get it at the Apple store. Hmm... Anyone have any thoughts on the whole mac vs. pc laptops?

Mac is good for computer graphics like photoshop, video editing, stuff like that. They are less suceptible to viruses as well

That's the exact type of comment I wanted. I'm very used to the PC and everything and I do think in the end I'll get that. I mean, I'm more comfortable with it and what not. And you're right, they are a bit more expensive. I saw that at the apple store there. (It pays off working in the mall sometimes)

Do you remember what type of laptop your sis got?

Here's a techie spin on it:

If you want sure greatness, buy a mac. They really won't break, outdate FAR slower, have less technical problems (like hardware malfunctions, software malfunctions, virus', trojans... you get the idea). If you're looking for something that will hold it's own when playing music, videos, editting w/ PS... basically anything you can think of, buy a MAC.

5 Years ago I woulda said, don't touch one.. but now? Even I want one.

Sure, they're kinda pricey, but GOOD PC laptops are too. And PCs outdate really quickly. And they break. A lot. Every heard that the biggest oxymoron is "Microsoft works"? Its true.
Kara's lonely vote: Buy a mac. It'll last you a lot longer, w/o needing upgrades, and that alone is worth the extra 2 or 3 hundred. Plus hey, free IPOD!
