I know what you mean, I do the same thing. "Out of sight, out of mind" sort of thing.
Time just flies by so fast, that before I know it, weeks have gone by without saying so much as a "hello" to some of my friends.
We should get together soon. I am free most weeknights, except Tuesdays after five. If you are ever bored, let me know. I will try to do the same thing. Maybe we can get somewhere in this whole keeping in touch with friends thing!
And hey, I am legal now, so I could go to a bar with you sometime if you want. ;) Haha

I completely understand what you mean. With being so far from home when at school and vise versa, I tend to think of the group of friends that are geographically near by and not the group farther away. I end up literally going months at a time without talking to some of my friends from either location because I just am not around them. Ex: when home for the summer I literally talked to 1 person from school for the entire 3 1/2 months. When I was in Ireland I hardly talked to ANYONE which was really weird. It's not a laziness thing in most cases, it's just a "whoever is around is around" and there's no reason to feel guilty for it or apologize for it as long as neither party lets the time not spent together mess with the friendship. All I can really say is thank GOD for AIM. My Mom gets on my case sometimes when I don't call people and I'm just like "But most of the people I would care to spend time to aren't online. And it is usually through AIM that we make plans." Sorry, rambling. I'll shut up now.
