so i went and bought myself this today:

it's a kala tenor ukulele, with built in pick-up and EQ, rosewood/mahogany/spruce, with beautiful mother-of-pearl binding and inlay, in a really lovely glossy black (the picture doesn't do it justice).

it's freaking amazing, i love it XD although it was considerably more expensive that what i was planning on (especially since i really wasn't even planing on buying anything today, and even if i did, i was really only thinking about a really cheap student one at like... $35 whereas this one was more than 10x that ._.;;;;;;) but once i picked it up and played it, it had such an amazing rich tone that hearing the other ones after that just made me cringe (so tinny and horrible T.T), so i splurged and brought it home with me. plus, just look at it! it has beautiful little classical f-holes! and it's shiny! and did i mention I LOVE IT!? lol, sorry, i'm a little giddy about it at the moment, spent all afternoon playing with it.

so anyways, yes, new mission for me, since i had rather intense musical training starting at the age of 4, i've decided to finally put it to use. first goal, master the ukulele! after that, who knows? banjo? accordion? glass harmonica? (if you don't know what that is, look it up, they're amazing)
