I have no idea why I did this, but I did. It’s probably a one-off thing, so please don’t expect me to do future chapters. :')

***
This is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to persons, organizations, or events is purely coincidental.
***
This way,
this way!
Kazehaya!
***
You shouldn’t be running around,
Kei!
pg005
Don’t worry about me!
The weather is just nice,
and you’re here with me!
***
*snag*
*tumble*
***
Kei!
***
*grab*
***
Idiot! What if you hurt yourself?
***
If I get hurt,
***
I bleed.
***
Once the bleeding starts,
it doesn’t stop...
***
until I die.
pg006
Just like her.
***
*yank*
***
Kazehaya.
pg007
Kazehaya!
***
Ri...
ku...o?
***
Do I look like someone else?
pg008
It’s your turn to fix breakfast.
Yeah?
***
Bad dream, huh?
Or...
was it...
something you saw?
***
Uh...
I think...
it was a dream.
***
Hurry up with the food.
And then get your ass to work.
Ugh!
*smack*
***
I get it already!
pg009
It started with something that happened in the past-
when me and Kei were kids.
***
But the woman covered in blood, she’s not from my memory.
***
Must be his.
***
You still don’t know how to cook rice?
I do too know!
***
{ That was a long time ago! You’re never letting me live it down, are you? }
*heh*
pg010
*Green Drugstore
***
Good morning!
***
Good morning, Kudo.
Kakei.
***
Any minute later, and I would have cut your pay.
G-
glad I made it.
pg011
Did you have a bad dream?
Huh?
***
You look pale.
***
*yawn*
Really? Flirting at the storefront?
***
Am not!
pg012
*ruffle ruffle*
***
Did you spend the night inside the store again, Saiga?
*pat pat*
*yawn*
Hey. I just got back here.
***
Did you find what you were
looking for?
***
Mm,
not yet.
***
Do you...
need my help?
pg013
It’s not a paid job.
***
But, well,
isn’t it Rikuo’s-
***
You two were like cats and dogs before.
But I guess after a year of shacking up, you’ve warmed up to him.
Why would I-
And we are not shacking up!
Newlyweds then.
We never got married!
***
Newlyweds? It’s been a year, though.
Less than three years counts.
*grr*
The new stuff is here.
If you don’t start stocking the shelves, you’ll never get it done before the store opens.
***
I know!
pg014
So.
What?
***
What did you dream about?
***
At first,
it was...
somebody I know.
After that...
she changed into another woman.
***
How’d she look like?
Long hair,
pretty.
***
You know her?
***
But I’ve dreamed of her.
I’ve seen her when I was awake, too,
a few times.
pg015
While on the other job?
Yeah.
***
Back then, he called her Tsukiko.
He knows her.
Intimately.
***
But why was she covered in blood?
***
And what about that bloody room?
pg016
Kazehaya?
***
I can’t say it to him.
It was just a vision. I don’t know the first thing about what I saw.
I don’t know, and I don’t want to hurt him.
***
Stop giving me that puppy-dog look.
You’re not getting any candy from me.
I don’t want any!
pg017
Besides, you’re the one who loves chocolate!
*step step step*
***
Your paycheck is in danger,
Kudo.
Why only me?!
***
{ Young bride? }
The young bride is as chipper as ever.
pg018
*flap*

The series proper starts next issue!
Drug & Drop-to be continued in January issue.
NB:
1) I know it’s Kazahaya in the original series, but the furigana for 風疾 is given as かぜはや (ka-ZE-ha-ya). I’m not making this up.
2) I treated long vowels and short vowels the same. For the uninitiated, Kudo instead of Kudou, Rikuo instead of Rikuou, etc.
3) There are no honorifics in this script. For anyone interested, Kazehaya adds -san to Kakei’s name, and Kakei calls him Kudo-kun.
