Christ, I just want this to be done with! The only reason I'm still in school is because I keep failing english courses. I'm very literal-minded. I don't understand where people get all this meaning out of texts

damn Catty...it seems like this is the summer of no return for alot of us of late.

I can definitely identify with feeling dumb in lit classes (or even Creative Writing). sometimes other people write such fantastic work that it makes me feel so cliche or shallow OR I'll miss the important dates and significances (like I did in most of 17th Century Lit class) and feel like the biggest ninny when people laugh at me. It's frustrating how much they expect of lit majors/minors when literature isn't going to do anything but maybe help to broaden your horizons if you aren't sick of it by the time you get out of school.

All I can say is hang in there and stick to it. You're almost done! Which is more than I can say about myself:P
