Mass Effect 3: The Chronicles of Combat Bro

Finished ME3 this weekend, was one hell of a fun game. Played as a Soldier, disliked the weight system simply because I'm used to carry everything as a Soldier. Discovered the penalty really didn't change much given I don't use powers on cooldown as a soldier, carried everything anyway as a result ( Read more... )

Personally, I'd love to play multiplayer with folks I know, but alas I am on 360. Still, I found it surprisingly fun, and did not appear to get any real assholes. Had people occasionally drop out, but the worst I had it was someone not reviving me while we were on the LZ, right after I revived him.

(Admittedly, there was a Brute on top of us at the time, but still.)

i hate brutes and i hate banshees and i hate pyros.

Cerberus, however, is pretty universally killable.

How does everyone keep beating the game so quickly when I've been playing on and off since launch day and I'm not done yet!! I must be too much of an obsessive completionist. Also, question: for the best ending, do you just need to max out your green war assets bar (and presumably make the right choices during the final missions)? Or must the readiness percentage be 100% too? Mine's only sitting at a sexy 69% but my bar is already maxed out.

I had fun with the multiplayer with the 2-day trial, though now it's over and I don't think I'll subscribe to X-Box Live Gold just for it. (I take it you guys were on the PS3?) It's basically a completely different game from the one I play in single-player, where I pop the tech wheel on and off constantly, whether to micromanage my teammates' skills or look at the radar. I think playing engineer was the best choice, because then I could have a Combat Bro of my own to get kills assists for me while I flailed around uselessly!

I was off work from the 5th to the 11th. While I did not play every waking hour, I played alot.

Your bar maxed will not get you the best ending. Basically, what determines ending is your fleet force * galactic readyness. If you got 7000 and you haven't done any multi that's 7000 * 50% = 3500.

I read somewhere you need somewhere between 4000 and 5000 to get the best ending, depending of certain choices. I have the game and play it on PC.

Huh! That's weird, considering that it maxes out at about 3000 from what I've seen. If it's not high enough I guess I'll fall for their marketing ploy and use one of these "1$ for 1 month of X-Box Live Gold!!!! (* we will renew at normal rates forever afterwards)" to play the multiplayer some more.

You can get a boost via new game +, I think.
