Been working on my SQL for a bit. Using "Head First SQL" and it's really good. Much better than those "Sams Teach Yourself in X amount of minutes or hours

Hmmm.... That's a strange thing, I don't have much experience with running server stuff on my Mac (as its a MacBookPro) My server (Windows 2003 Server) and desktops (XP/Win7) are all Windows, but I definitely don't have the issue of having a login name requiring SQL to be in it...
What version of MySQL are you running? And, do you have the whole shebang setup? (Apache + PHP, etc?) Or are you just learning SQL? :)
Just learning SQL. I'm able to use MySQL on my Windows, but for some reason, it's not working on my Mac. Installation notes say that Macs 1.xx should already have SQL user by default.
