Cute gifts! That's unfortunate about not being able to keep in contact with everyone. You'd think personal (vs professional) wouldn't be an issue. Hope you have a great start to your new job!
Thank you :) Right? I think it's so strange that a company can still have control over what I do and don't do, despite no longer being under their rules.
Well, well, congrats first of all. :D Finally that's done. ^___^ I'm really happy for you!
Oh, that Sailor Moon stuff looks so cute!! T___T .....
I wish you a great start into your new job. :D
Yeah ... there are these very strange rules with some job. In my first job, I wasn't allowed to tell my students I was leaving. I couldn't say goodybe to them. It was so stupid! .....
Saying goodbye shouldn't be a problem! It would be a problem if you intended to maintain contact with a lot of the students, though. In my case, we're literally all adults in our 30's and 40's.
I never got why .... it was so weird. But I'm still in contact with some of my adult students from that school. Mostly elderly ladies who write me letters once or twice a year. :)
Yeah, it's definitely different between adult students and children. But in any case, these adults are not and have never been my students, as I wasn't their teacher. They were clients. Adult clients. Who voluntarily made the decision to want to keep in touch with me.
Thank you for sharing photos of the Sailormoon items!
"They've also asked that I avoid the company area during office hours." Oh my goodness, these people.
I'm glad you're thinking of taking up piano again. I feel like you gave up so much for this job so it's great you're getting back into old hobbies. I wonder if you will notice a big change, like you don't know how stressed you were sometimes until you aren't anymore.
Yes, it definitely feels like I've given up a lot. I'm debating between purchasing a small keyboard and reteaching myself, or getting lessons. I did piano in Elementary, so the knowledge is in my head buried somewhere, I guess.
You would think, right? Strange! I'm not sure if this is just them, or if it's typical of Japanese work culture, but I've never heard of friends mentioning this kind of "ban."
