Reo turns two months in a week. He hasn't hit some milestones and I suspect something isn't quite right, but no doctor will diagnose for sure at only two months. It could all be paranoia though -- the internet can do that to you sometimes. I'm supposed to have a two-month home-visit from the city hall family center soon. I'll try to get some

I was also fascinated to read that city hall would visit the home where a new child was born. It is different from North America, but nice to know that someone close by cares about the city's children.

Yes! You have your one month check at the clinic. Then the hospital gives the file to city hall and in the second month a welfare check is done to make sure both the mother and baby are alright. They give out plenty of aid, so it benefits them to check the money isn't wasted.

Omigosh -- you are a warrior. Carrying little Reo so much? What a sweet momma. I am excited for you and Reo to get past the 3 month mark -- I found things so much more manageable then.
I had and still have lots of paranoia so I hope that is what it is. But if it is something, you can handle it. ♥ ♥

Wow that good looks like it comes from a 5 star restaurant! All babies are different, I am sure yours is perfect and there’s no need for concern. Hope all is well.

At this point, am I allowed to say how badly I want to go back to Japan? I haven't been there since 2018 and I wanna slap my stupid 2019 face for thinking it was a great idea to have a Japan travel break in 2019 ...................... *sigh*
I hope you get some answers soon. Until then, try not to worry too much!!

I don't want to come back for good, but as a tourist for 3-4 weeks.
The deal was that I travel back to Japan at least once a year ... haven't been back since late 2018. It feels so strange.
But somehow I doubt that Japan will open for tourists this year .... and when they do flights from Europe will be so expensive that normal people might not be able to afford it anymore...
A co-worker of mine was supposed to go there for mid-May for an event, but he said he doubts that with like 400k people still waiting to get inside the country he could make the deadline for the event ..... *sigh*

I think by May or June, they will start letting People in. The economy is dead and they really need tourism. Plus they already opened for students and business people. But yeah, no way to be sure.
