とにかく大変なことばかり!Finally calming down a bit

The trip to the Embassy was brutal. Even by car, it took 2.5 hours each way. There was no parking, so Ryu's father ended up driving in circles after dropping us off. The Japanese staff outside were cold and unhelpful - obviously on some power trip. Ryu wondered if they were really Japanese. Once inside, things moved relatively quick, which we were ( Read more... )

Sorry, but if Japan doesn't open their borders soon, there will be several problems.
Pretty much all other countries lifted those stupid restrictions now. The virus doesn't care if you let 5000 or 10.000 people in or even more. It will spread anyways. But if they don't open the borders soon, so many people will be ruined financially, they cannot push their career or finish studying or whatever. It's so annoying. :(

I really hope you can see your family again soon!!!

Those cherry blossom photos are so gorgeous. Taking a walk with that kind of view is surely one of the best things for mental health ever. ;)

Sorry to hear about the doc not checking Reo until he drops weight .... that's like the police that won't do shit until something has happened. *sigh* :(

That is crazy about the embassy. I only had to go to the one in Tokyo once to get my passport and it was a mad house then too. My dad and I took the train so at least we didn't have to worry about parking. I'm glad ya had someone who could drop you off! The is ridiculous that there were no where appropriate for the babies to be changed. ;_; I even think about it here stateside, like apparently a lot of the men's rooms don't have changing tables even when the women's room does.

I hope your parents can come soon! It's nice in the mean time ya'll are doing the best you can to include each other in Reo's life for the time being.

Oh goodness, I had something similar happen when we went to record Andrei at the US Consulate in Sydney. Their website said no pram so we carried him in our arms from the parking which was ages away and then we arrived exhausted and they said 'where is your pram?' They were really rude to my husband while checking his bag and I think we had similar issues with changing. It was a huge building so I don't really see any excuse to not have one of those fold up, wall mounted changing tables. You have my sympathy!

I'm really sorry to hear about the feeding issues. Small frequent feedings are really rough on the sleep schedule and people give advice like 'well just don't feed them whenever they want' but who can ignore a hungry crying baby?
