Ugh, again.

I have no idea what is wrong with me, or my brain. Every time I get a SOC (stream of conciousness) in regards to the plotline of a story, something happens, and everything changes. From Voltaire to that nameless thing... and now this. This.. whatever, I guess, has more character, and plot, but only a good quarter of it is developed (Can you say " ( Read more... )

I know exactly how you feel about all this. We have a team at school called Acadec, and all but two of our members graduated last year. The teacher advisors both retired, so we're working with an entirely new team and new advisors, and it was so hard to get people to understand how we'd done things, and why, and to get them motivated in the same way that the old team had been. (I'm captain, by the way). We got some great kids, but it was hard to get people to come to the meetings because they were so busy doing other things ( ... )

Thank you *so* much for replying. Feels nice to know I'm not the only one with this kind of situation.

It's a poetry team, and there's no limit. It's gone all kinds of hectic-crazy because we seem to have the absolute worst luck. I - as well as numerous others - have all tried to get Aq ("that girl") to realise that seniority doesn't prevail over talent, but she's stubborn. So are LaP and Ke. They both refuse to come back to the team, and things are just... bad. To be honest, things have been going wrong from the beginning, but the problems were easy to ignore in the beginning. I'm going to try to have a meeting with our sponsor, probably tomorrow, and see how that goes. Many thanks for the advice. :)

My pleasure :)

Why won't the two kids - LaP and Ke - join the team again? (You shouldn't bend over backward to get them back, but if you need good members....)

From what I've been told, Ke won't come back because him not making the LTAB team destroyed the confidence he had as a poet. LaP is a bit.... offended, because Aq *really* did everything she could to get him off the team. He's still in the club, I suppose, he just doesn't hang around long when Aq is there... which is often, because the LTAB team meets during regular meetings as well.
