Blergh!!
I decided to spend the rest of my time in tokyo in shinjuku because:
a) hotel is much nicer
b) easy to get to Narita by N'EX
c) shinjuku is nice
b) being one of the main reasons....
and guess what ?
No N'Ex today ! WTF ???
Are you kidding me ? for real ?
why not today, why TODAY ?
Ok I just settled for the second best option: going to Tokyo, and change there for the N'EX: BUT
haha
you heard right: BUT!!!
There wasn't a single decent train connection to Tokyo today
now really ... what's wrong with today ?
haf the platforms at Shinjuku-station were closed off due to maintenance, so in the end I had to take the Chuuo- sobu-sen to Ochanomizu, change there to the chuuo-sen to Tokyo.. and then change again for the N'EX at Tokyo
-_-
soooo annoying.
but the main problem was Shinjuku station:
no direct train
no elevators today (oh the open at 11:30 again, after the maintanance... or you could take the ones in the departmentstore (is it Luminee).. after they open at 10:30)
so at first I had to haul my heavy suitcase DOWN the stairs.. just to have drag it up the stairs again to the platform -_-
At least some nice guy helped me to drag it up the stairs ^.^v
down wasn't so much of a problem (I could just roll it down step by step) but upstairs was.... uarg.
But at least after about half the staircase some nice guy helped me carrying it up ^.^v (I have to mention he was the only GUY to actually offer help... before that quite a lot of OLD (and small!!) ladies tried to help me, but I just couldn't accept that, now could I )
Transfer at Ochanomizu was easy though. It was just:
falling out of the one train right into the other (it was on the same platform luckily) .
And at Tokyo station there were lot's of escalators and elevators. So many I could even choose (and no... those weren't out of order for service ^.^v)
But in the end I arrived really early at Narita, so I had enough time, to buy a last Caramel Frappucino, drop off the rental phone and poke around the CD and magazine shops.
I bought myself the newest Goth&Loli Bible, and a Nailmagazine.
Just because I did a lot of things differently during this trip and I had plenty of time left, before boarding began,
I took a picture of my plane etc etc (something I never did before ^^;)
[But this time I didn't take all the usual pictures I so far always took [asakusa, view from governmentbuilding, Tokyo tower etc etc] so why not take pictures I never took before this time ?)
Good thing though, that I arrived early at the airport, because today my plane also was early. Boarding startet 15minutes before it was scheduled... and the plane left 10Min early... we'll arrive at Amsterdam much earlier than planed -_-
"cool" ... instead of waiting 3 hours in Amsterdam, it's now 4 hours (but fortunately shippol isn't as boring as Charle de gaule).
...
This time I was not only NOT lucky with train connections... I was not lucky with my plane as well
you all read, that I decided to book a few more kilos for my suitcase ?
....
now I was allowed to have 25kg instead of 20.
guess what: 20.8 kg *sigh*
if I had know, I would have stuffed a few more things into the suitcase -_-
The plane I'm on at the moment doesn't have one of those fancy entertainment systems. So I'm stuck to a tiny screen and no choice of movies (lucky I brought my laptop...my Nintendo and some yarn to crochet) I guess with the combined battery time of laptop, mp3 player + nintendo I'll just manage to somehow spend the time.
hm, so enough typing already.
If I'm in a good mood later, I might type
Kyoto day 1-3 in english later, but now I think some movie or TV show would be nice.
so what's on my harddrive?
let's see...
Torchwood
a bit Doctor Who (oh, should I watch the reaaally boring reaaaly old episodes ?)
a few episodes Star Trek Tng
or I could watch...
Interview with the Vampire
or Versailles live (Cheateau)
or how about LoTR 1-3 ?(I thin the battery would die on me before i finished those ^^;)
so Versailles or Vampires ?
or random TV episodes ?
... maybe I'll just start with my little crochet project.
Anything to keep myself awake
just before i forget to mention it:
not only the entertainment system is missing, but the food is horrible this time as well -_-
how did that happen ?
"dinner": would you like fish or chicken ?
me: fish
flight attendant hands me a tray
...
3 min. later: FA: oooohh sorry I mixed it up: there is no fish nor chicken
it's beef or pork
me: @.o
lucky I stocked up on onigiri. *munches away on a natto temaki*
So it DOES prove usefull to not expect to get anything to eat on a plane...
and it is freezing cold in here
I'm sitting here already with all the clothes I brought for the cold in Germany in my handluggage (except that cape... but I'm using the blanket the provide in the plane) I'm wearing:
- a pair of tights
- Socks, Overknee (those thick fluffy ones you can buy everywhere at the moment)
- Socks: just "socks (again, those thick and fluffy ones)
- that long skirt
- a top (sleeveless)
- a turtleneck top (warm!)
- a cardigan
- a bolero
- that warm knitted wrap (the brown one I was wearing for V-rock Day2)
- the plane's blanket
- Armwarmers (no, not the polkadot ones, longer fluffier ones)
...
and I'm still COLD !!!!!!!!!!!!
but worst is; there is a constant stream of air... and there is no way of turning it off... My right eye already feels itchy because of this -_-
-----
arrived at Schippol (how do you spell that ???)
...earlier than scheduled of course. What's wrong today ?
now I have to spend 3 hours waiting for my connecting flight.
But one good thing: I heard barking in the background when I called my parents a few minutes ago: seems we're having a new doggie ^________^
ok, she's at our place only for a few days, for now. Just to see how we all get along. And if she fit's into our family she will stay. Can't wait to see her.
so now: 3hours wait.
What to do other than going to starbucks, type away on the laptop and drink(eat or whatever you do with those) caramel frappuchino. hm, I only hope te laptops battery will be good a little bit longer (it should be ok for ~5hours though, but I used a lot on the plane) but it still says 41% left. should be ok
hn... I really wonder : how was MadTea Party ????
Did you all have fun ?
I hope you did !
oh and by the way: I tried to sign up to last.fm as well yesterday. But it doesn't seem to work for me. My Musicplayer isn't supported (I use MediaMonkey, the only decent MusicPlayer/Library I found so far). and my mp3 Player (Sansa e280) isn't supported as well.
hm, I might want to see if there is a workaround for at least Mediamonkey later... I suppose there might be because it did work for earlier versions of MM. (<= no MM is NOT Malice Mizer... it's MediaMonkey, at least in this context ^.~)
****
great
the day get's better and better -_-
first: no trains at shinjuku
then: not so comfortable plane
then: plane leaves + arrives early
then: spending time at Amsterdam waiting
now: connecting flight to Bremen is..... *drumroll*
delayed !
now that's something new. More waiting.
My Nintendo just ran out of power and the laptop is close to it as well...
but even if all those fail... my sansa's battery is still on full capacity (at least that's what it said a couple of minutes ago)
I just wonder: the boarding is delayed by 35minutes. Will we still arrive on time in Bremen ?
I had similar situations before, and we always arrived early at bremen, even if the plane was delayed (so maybe if the cut
