*sings*
this is halloween ... this is halloween...
...
^^;
No, but really ... today is halloween!
And what's better to do on such a day than go out and see a live?!
So today we went to see Kaya.
::::..... at Ruido K2 in Shibuya.
(But nothing is worse than maps of Kyoto !!)
At least we already know how to solve the usual "map trouble".
It's a combination of: trying to match the official map with various online maps, google streetview + going to the livehouse way early just to check out if we are able to find it, that has proven as the most efficient method. (unless of course you know someone, who knows how to get there).
So this time even though the map was more than confusing again, we found it surprisingly easy (and fast!)
Wich also left us with enough time to make a starbucks stop ^.^
Ruido K2 is really small.
If you thought RockMayKan is small... you haven't been to K2 ^^;
But for todays crowd that livehouse was perfect. It wasn't too crammed but it also didn't feel too empty.
Today's live was a multiband live again.
But fortunately, unlike the Velvet's live, the 3 other bands that played before Kaya were all really good. In their own way. Maybe not really everyone's taste, but what they were doing, they were really doing it good.
What I really enjoyed about that evening, even though I didn't like most of the other bands, they were all really different, and really good in what they were doing. (if you like it or not, at least they did a great job)
The first band...
was funny... that's the only thing that I remember.
the sedond band...
3rd band was "guruguru eigakan". Even though it's not the kind of music I usually listen to and they are visually... well... I'll get to that later, I enjoyed their set.
They were fun to watch, their guitarrist was impressive, and overall they really made the impression that they really know what they are doing.
All of them wore schooluniforms (from different periods as it seemed) and had really white makeup.
wich looked quite funny with their guitarrist, as he also was wearing a beard ^^;
The Vocalist (and also guitarrist.. both the guitarrist + vocalist sang and played the guitar)
looks a bit like a very bad Mana-clone.
Mana lipstick, but unlike Mana.. it doesn't suit him. Plus he was grinning all the time what made the "Mana-Lipstick" look even worse. But as bad as the makeup was... it still fit's in with the overall image.
The guy at the base looks a bit like a Hizaki/Teru Clone.
the hairstyle + his face is shaped like Hizaki's but Teru's cute smile.
Oh. and he said: he indeed was the best basist that evening ... mainly because he was the only one that night (none of the other bands had a base....).
The drummer had the cute, smily geeky role. very fun to watch.
Finally it was Kaya's turn.
I really enjoyed his live... but I would have never guessed how difficult holding + waving the fan during "epicurean" really is. uff! need to practice *lol*
As Kaya was last, he was the only one who actually did an encore.
Kassha!
... wait... no Rose Jail today ?
Kaya Live without Rose Jail ? When did THAT happen before ?
But it was fun even without Rose Jail ^.^
During his MC (was it just my imagination or didn't he use his very high pitched laughter that often than he usually does today ?)
he announced a bunch of stuff.
LEt's see if I can piece it together:
- he will be releasing a remix Album (with chocolat etc on it)
- he will be having a oneman in December (?) for that we could buy tickets after the show (booh! I can't be there ;_;)
- if we would go up to the goods table and say "trick or treat" we would get some sweets
and some other things I forgot.
the "trick or treat" worked ^.^
note that ribbon... it says Kaya : cu~te isn't it ?
today's outfit:
