Pain

Has any one ever thought about pain? I mean there are so many different forms out there that it is nigh impossible to hate it. The whole meaning of pain is to keep you alive. We learn from a young age that pain hurts. Therefore when we touch the hot stove we jerk back we learn that something is hot and can harm you. That is, in a simplified way, a ( Read more... )

Well I would be the first to admit that I'm not much of a deep thinker, I actually work hard on staying that way. Thinking too much will only lead to unhappiness as far as I can see.

If I'm in pain I will not analyze why, I will only focus on getting passed it.

Thinking about pain will only bring more pain, sleepless nights, second guessing and wasted time.

I'll stay naive and happy while I wait for disaster.

That is a good philosophy. I wish I could follow it. I deep think everything. At work I come off as scatter brained, happy and go lucky but I'm always analyzing things. I couldn't stop if I tried. My mother teases me, good naturedly of course, that I was born to be a writer because all I do is take situations and think think them to death then write about them. I do know what you mean by thinking leads to unhappiness. But sometimes, and I wish the are more often ,sometimes the lead to a little bit of happiness. I live for those moments. Thank you for commenting. You put things into perspective for me.
