柔らかな日の光 朝露滲む頃
東の窓から部屋中 差し込んだ
反射したその光 自分に照らされて
怯えた心 温もり届けられた
窓辺に微笑んだ
穏やかな陽射し 花抱くように
愛情 鮮やかな色となり
たおやかに咲き誇った
小さな世界 慌てた日常に置き忘れた
優しさが溢れる この場所には
ゆったり流れる時間を知ることで
素直になれた
変わりゆく空合いと オレンジ色に染まる
空気色感じて 心踊らせた
ほら! 西の窓から
爽やかになびく優美な風
頭のなか 操縦する手で
紙飛行機 飛ばした
小さな勇気 心地いい風に翼まかせ
空高く飛べる この場所では
傾いた景色に思い重ねて

At the time morning dew forms, soft daylight filtered in
Coming into the room from the east window
And as it reflected off of where I lay
It filled my frightened heart with warmth
I smiled at the window
At the gentle sunlight, and like a flower in my hand
What love I felt was splashed with vivid colour
As it bloomed with grace and elegance
I'd forgotten about this little world in amidst the rush of everyday life
But as I learned to know the relaxed flow of time
In this place overflowing with kindness
I, too, found peace
The sky began to change, dyed in orange hues
And feeling the colours in the air, my heart began to dance
Look! From the window in the west
On a fresh blast of fluttering, graceful wind
I used my hand to aim the nose of a paper airplane
And let it fly
Its wings carry a tiny bit of courage as it rides a pleasant wind
And in this place, it can fly high up into the sky
As it tilts, however, it grows heavier
And its rudder stops turning
But no matter what, it won't get caught in this worn map drawn over and over
And riding a tailwind, it changes direction and finds a way to fly again!
If you feel yourself losing balance in this great wide world
Then find what I've found in this place
Because a handful of happiness will come to protect you
And give you the strength to be yourself no matter where you are
For the pet project, again.
home has a stunning number of visuals that I have no way of knowing how to translate, so I say take this one with a grain of salt. Tomoya's voice is absolutely fantastic in it, though, and in a way it feels like Taichi wrote this with the express purpose of making him sound softer than he normally does. Which he pulls off with aplomb, might I add.
