Hi, I'm Ami. A humble student of various time-based arts, living and toiling away in the depths of satan's loins Phoenix, AZ.

This is Quemby. She is my pet project, and star of several short films in various stages of completion. Here she is, in her first three-dimensional realization (pardon the webcam with unforgivably short focal length):

Oh, she's about six or seven inches high. I couldn't get the rest of her body in the shot, but she's sort of doing a little dance while holding a teapot in one hand and a teacup in the other (which you can barely see in this picture).

Well, originally I had set out for this to be a stop motion project, but as I got further into the planning, I realized that the scope of the sets alone would make it nigh impossible (unless I were to suddenly be granted an empty warehouse for an indefinate amount of time and retarded amounts of disposable income). At the moment, her exploits are currently being chronicled using Alias Wavefront's Maya software, and I'm going to be putting a lot of effort into making it look as much like stop-motion as possible (one of the biggest influences for the "look" of it is Marc Craste's shorts, "Pica Towers", and "Jojo In The Stars").

And rest assured, you're probably going to hear about every single snag that occurrs in this process along the way. =D
