That campaign would be interesting!!!rundmbSeptember 17 2006, 07:19:27 UTC
What I would wonder is who would run: Stephen Colbert the ACTOR or Stephen Colbert the PUNDIT? Talk about a tough candidate to pin down!
Although if that really were to happen, it would be inevitable that he would have to tone down his act (see Al Franken). Maybe Colbert should small, and run for Congress first. Hmmmm... would that mean if he won, he would have to interview HIMSELF??? Better question... if he won, and he was asked to interview himself, would he turn it down?

rofl....
I would love to see him get into Congress as Stephen Colbert the pundit, and turn himself down for an interview...that would be just...sooo.....COLBERT.
p.s. Am I the only one that thinks it's funny how he's so pro-America, yet pronounces his name (and oddly, the word 'report' as well) the FRENCH way, which also adds the phonetic word of 'BEAR', his sworn enemy, into his very own name? From now on I will call him Stephen ColBEAR. And nobody will notice but me.
Ha. Stephen ColBEAR. Totally my new screen name XD

A never noticed that, but that's a really good point! And the bear thing wouldn't surprise me either. That, and the fact that his idol is Bill O'Reilly, "Papa Bear". Colbert is a very smart man.
